Yes, you can unbolt your current complete stock turbo kit and put this one back in, it will come complete and bolt right in place of stock.

This turbo should easily make more power than the LT and more on pump gas as the turbine wheel is quite a bit larger.

I have no idea how this is going to perform compared to the 35r. It will spool faster, that's all I can say for now. With the lbs/min it flows it should make some serious power.

Should have dyno graphs and pictures of the kit 1st week of December.

The non water cooled subject. Too many people read crap on the internet and swear to it. They read the hype from the latest expert and go with that too. Fact is one of the best performance cars of all time the Buick Grand National was turbocharged, non water cooled and those turbos go over 100,000 miles all the time. Fact is many of the installs we do even on ballbearing turbos, that are suppose to have water lines, we don't hook them up. We bypass them for the little bit of weight (talking little here) but mostly the ease of working on the car/turbo in the future. The water cooling, in my opinion, is slightly over rated.
Thanks David for the clarification. This info from you is good enough for me!

Stock EVO turbo IS WATER COOLED.

The 50 trim on any 4g63 will perform close to the same.

Will you make just the turbo/O2 housing available to bolt up to an existing setup? I swap turbos based on my driving needs every so often.

How about a quick disconnect kit so I can do the swaps faster??

The turbo on a Cummings diesel is just oiled cooled and runs 500,000 miles.
Ive put almost 200,000 miles on my Cummings dodge ram with no problems with the turbo

Here is a write up on how a non ball bearing turbo works for anyone who is worried about cooking the oil or from road racing. Ive got alot of friends around that run non ball bearing turbos and never have had any problems.

fwiw I don't always hook up the coolant lines, its just messy to do the swap when their connected.. I have them connected now that my 35r is on the car for a much longer duration, but it was a pain when I was testing different turbos..

I'm getting giddy. This should really be something to follow in the way of turbo upgrades. Thanks DB for the info and the gyno post. I'm still wondering if the guy you replied to gets it.

You have to take into account that diesel engines have much lower exhaust temperatures that gasoline engines, so water cooling will not be needed. You can't really compare diesel turbo applications to gasoline turbo applications in that respect.

Water cooling may not be needed for a turbo in our cars, but it's just a little extra added insurance. It really just comes down to preference and how long you will be using that turbo or how often you will be changing out turbos.

There are advantages and disadvantages either way. It's up to the particular person and his/her setup that will dictate the right or wrong answer.

I might have to bolt this puppy on my car, and see what she does!
