Going to look at some other ways to knock some money down on the kit and I am HOPING I can do a real 50 trim, the 49 lb/mn kit for less than $2795

I'm confused, i thought you were aiming below 2k.. f the haters and the bb requests.. dirt cheap, functional $2k kit is what we need!

The $2700 kit is going to include all the same items as there other turbo kits. The under $2000 one will be alittle more stripped down and reuse alot of stock parts. Two different kits.

Quote: What the difference between BB 50 trim & NON BB 50 trim?
The non ball bearing turbo spools up slightly slower, and is more prone to failures. The BB 50 trim turbo is about $500 more expensive.

Actually, I think the main difference is BB vs. non-BB and internal vs. external WG.

No. You can get either one with an internal or external wastegate setup. That is just a part of the turbine housing, not the center cartridge. The ball bearing 50 trim turbo is superior to it's journal bearing cousin.

So I am trying to play catch-up, is he testing both turbos and making two different kits, or is it all to early to say?

The way things get mixed up and turned around..................wow.

I have no idea what either of these 50 trims are going to make for power, work on the street, 1/4 mile or road course.

I have no idea which turbo is going to outspool the other.

This is why WE do testing here, we get bashed for it half the time and called liars but the haters in the group but WE do the testing.

Two kits are being talked about.

The topic is about a 50 trim kit that is under $2,000 (hopefully). It does not use any stock parts, as was said by someone else. It uses our cast/coated manifold, a non ballbearing 50 trim turbo, SS 02 housing, oil feed and return lines are supplied. It is not water cooled. It is internally wastegated.

The other kit I just mentioned is going to be just like our normal $2995 GT30/35R kit we offer now except it will be a 50 trim and I am going to try and use a 38 mm wastegate on it to further drop the price.

Wouldn't an External gate offer more precise boost control and faster spoolup? You think woudl could mix and match, like use the S200 turbo BUT use an external gate?
