Sorry Dave, that was my bad. That makes the value of it even better, if it works. Your making my decision on a new turbo harder be the day.

I think the 50 trim is a Great option. Great for a daily Driver, tons of power. tons of response, Great Torque. Very well suited, Instant Boost, ( compared to larger 30 series) 500whp Capable. You wont be disapointed. Dave makes a Great product. I have tons of his stuff on my car !

I chose this turbo but i went to the dark Side and bought a 35r!

Very interested to see a decent shop doing some Borg Warner ETT testing.

sounds good but i think i still want the FP3065, its the middle of the line up. bigger then a 50trim, smaller than a 35R.

A few have ....The results weren't as stellar as borg warners claims...That s200 vs. t67 is completely apples to oranges... really there is NO info to be gained from that test. How can you compare one turbo @ 25psi and the other @ 32psi, and there is NO way the t67 is maxed at 25psi lol

how about instead of everyone speculating and guessing at what parts are going to be used and what the numbers will be, just listen to Dave and wait until he comes forth with the results. If the numbers aren't as impressive as everyones been guessing then people think Dave is at fault, which he is most definatly not. Just be patient and I'm sure we'll have some numbers very soon. I have the feeling that a lot of people are getting some bad information, just give it some time.

I have no idea what either of these 50 trims are going to make for power, work on the street, 1/4 mile or road course.

I have no idea which turbo is going to outspool the other.

This is why WE do testing here, we get bashed for it half the time and called liars but the haters in the group but WE do the testing.

Two kits are being talked about.

The topic is about a 50 trim kit that is under $2,000 (hopefully). It does not use any stock parts, as was said by someone else. It uses our cast/coated manifold, a non ballbearing 50 trim turbo, SS 02 housing, oil feed and return lines are supplied. It is not water cooled. It is internally wastegated.

The other kit I just mentioned is going to be just like our normal $2995 GT30/35R kit we offer now except it will be a 50 trim and I am going to try and use a 38 mm wastegate on it to further drop the price.

Thank you for the clarification David. Cant wait for the results.

dave...i think i heard from the "shodan" that the borg warner turbo's operate much more efficiently at higher pressure ratio's than garrett's do. Have you heard/experienced anything along those lines?

They werent trying to show you that the s200 was better performer than a t67. They were simply showing what the turbo was capable of on a well setup car. If ones goal was 550whp then one could use this comparrison as valuable info and choose a s200 rather than the laggy t67.

Are all of these numbers coming from a Mustang dyno or dynojet?
This would be a nice upgrade for me from the WR turbo, as I already have an alky kit on top of this potential turbo.

Can anyone tell me if the wheels (ind and exd) are different between the non-BB, and the BB ? I mean, I realize its a 50 Trim, but you would think that one could expect a quicker spool out of the BB just with that information. The idea being "less oil used on a BB 50 trim would cause for less drag, or windage if you will, creating a faster spool." The other thing that could create the faster spool is that the compressor impellers are made of titanium, if in fact the 50 trim is actually the s200.

Trim is an area ratio used to describe both turbine and compressor wheels. Trim is calculated using the inducer and exducer diameters. As trim is increased, the wheel can support more air/gas flow.

The BB and non-BB are describing if the turbo uses ball bearings or a sleeve. The ball bearing turbo's spin slightly faster and cost more than their non-BB conterparts.
