I am installing this now, and i don't have that screw... i am afraid of using a metal screw and grounding it out...

also my kit is the plain aluminum... should i be worried about E85 corroding it?
RE: E85; yes the methanol will affect the aluminum over time, that is why they offered the anodized versions.

The screw to install the level sender is indeed plastic, or at least a composite material.

you have two options
1- leave the 1st pump with the stock harness
2- put both pumps with relays

I run a pressure switch as do lots of others. It is a viable option.

Does anybody know what the device is that the black wire goes to at the bottom of this picture or what it does?

Wheatley,
Pipe thread is the problem. Pipe thread doesn't belong on a car let alone a fuel system.

I mean that's your opinion. Works fine on my car. My Magnus has pipe thread on it and my pte turbo....Doesn't seem like a problem to me. I find it silly to refuse to buy a quality product because it has npt threads, then again that's my opinion.

there is pipe thread used from the factory in your engine block :duh:

---

on a side note:

my fuel level gauge / float is not working (reads 1/2 tank when full) with my full blown twin pump install. can anyone tell me if this is the proper wiring from the stock plug? I tried replacing the float so I am almost positive its the wiring.

(red and black are running to a relay powered direct from battery)

---

This would be if you were looking at the backside of the plug where the wires are coming out

I would like to say that this is an awesome product! I just recently installed it on my car & worked great...

Until I found out I had the "Suction Assembly" installed backwards. Which eventually (after 5-6 empty, tank fills) stopped siphoning gas out of the pass side tank. Which caused me to run out of gas w/ 3/8 of a tank.

Here is a picture of the proper way the "Suction Assembly" should be installed on the full blown set up...

I assume because I'm a "Noob" I can't post pics to my posts. :/
Long story short, the suction assembly needs to be flipped the opposite way from the stock sending unit.

Would have helped alot if this came with proper instructions in the box my friend. In the 2g AWD DSM'S this has to be installed at an angle due to the siphon hitting the baffle. Some force will have to be applied. Hopefully not the case with Evo's. Finally make sure you put thread sealer on every thread and fitting that this unit comes with or it will leak like hell. Car will smell like a gas station.

I'm using one relay,an inline 30 amp fuse and one 10 gauge wire shared by both 255 pumps for this setup. Will that cause an issue? I used to have one 400 lph fuel pump alone setup to the mentioned wiring and relay never had an issue..
Any comments?
