Not gonna be much to update until I get more parts. I have the aluminum mounts, parachute handle and mounts and engine mount stuff but thats not very neat to look at... The whole pedal setup, steering and rear end are what will finally get the ball rolling on some newer updates. The body mounts will be done whenver that stuff gets done. Next pics will hopefully be of a rolling chassis... maybe even painted and tinned by then!

this car will break 7's with a 42r? i thought you would have to go bigger, like a 50r or something.

Id need a bigger turbo to go under 7s for sure. Im not trying to go out and claim it will run a 7 right off the bat. Im hoping for low 8s after I get it dialed in (Which could take the whole summer anyways).

Well I do have some newer content to show off :P

I need to digitize the footage and take some pics but I did get the parachute mounted up and decided to do a few test runs to make sure it properly opens and I knew how to repack it. I only tested it around 65-70 mph on the highway but it worked good. Ill post the video tomorrow probably.. depends on how much I drink.

I guess the pilot chute wasnt designed to be used at <75 mph, lol! Watch it bounce off the ground before the canopy opens.

Also, the chassis is finished welding. Front, middle and rear. The rest of the steering, brake componants and pedals will be here monday. The rear end is on its way... not sure how long it takes to make it though. The engine mounts and trans mount along with a few body mounts and small tubes to hold body panels and whatnot should be done this weekend if I actually work on the car. Been sick so havent done much to it but this weekend is looking good.

By the middle of next week I should have some good photos again. Perhaps even some painted pics of the new car!

What does it feel like when the chute is deployed?

I know it's only 65-75mph but can you give an idea?

Keep it up!

I really cant wait to see this thing done.

I have a Stroud chute which is supposedly a softer opening style than others. At 55 it feels like your barely pressing the brakes. At 75 you can feel a slight initial pull but then it goes back to gently pressing the brakes. At 150 Im sure you will feel it tugging pretty nicely. Ill let ya know once I get something to can travel real speeds running

Yeah, I'm just trying to imagine it opening at 150+mph, it's gotta be a pretty intense ending to a pretty intense 9 sec.
