Yea I know I won't see much power without them but I really haven't been all that impressed with the current cams available for the IX's. I will get them for sure as soon as I find some I like but I'm just going with what I have for now...

You will see gains with your IX and the 20G-LT without the cams.
We just did my friends IX, Manny's El.BlueEvo9 and he loves it. His mods are Pump, TBE, Injen Intake and UIP, AMS intercooler and LIP, 750 injectors, Megan o2, Buschur ported Ex. Manifold. It made a nice improvement over his stock IX turbo.
Very soon he will run it at the track. On the stock IX he went 12.04@114.67, so this next run should be good with the 20G-LT.
You will enjoy yours, .

This car has never seen a Dyno.
I am sure many will ask, well how do you know it gained any power without some kind of test other than a butt Dyno?
And my answer is, then they never have done a turbo upgrade.

Give you an example: Unbolt your stock IX turbo, add the 20G-LT, larger injectors (needed), port and jet coat the Exhaust Manifold, and road tune the car via ECU Flash. Turn the car on, and hit the road. Boost to 25 psi and hold there pass 6500 rpms flowing near 47 lbs. min of air. Would you say it gained any power?

I'm coming from a WR...luckily I didn't buy the 20G-9-5. A man can only buy so many $1500 bolt-on turbos in his life.

don't u think 1700$ is really expensive for a non ball bearing 16G with a 20g compressor cartridge.

There has to be a cheaper alternative.

Fastazzevo- it's worth every penny if you do buy it straight out, you can also send your own turbo out and it'll be around a grand. On a side note that's not expensive to have 50 trim performance...

I agree with you on that one, but at least with my turbo kit, I can easily ditch the 50 Trim and bolt on a GT35R or GT37R w/o too much drama....

I still don't understand the 20GLT vs 50 trim debate the turbos are so equally matched (49lb/min vs 50lb/min) that it should always come down to supporting mods, tune, and driver. The 20GLT has faster spool though.

Yeah, but some people are after 50 trim like numbers and stock like spool. For daily driving and a track day on the weekend it is enough if you have sorted suspension/ brakes. Highway racing and DR, well that's the gt35r + theritory
