Nope, they are located in Wakeman. You should check them out sometime. I'm sure they would love to meet you!

Anyway, I was just wondering because your dyno sheet is from Topspeed in GA and your location is NJ? Did you drive down here just to dyno?

Couldn't this fast spool be associated with this new vertical intercooler because of the shorter pipes?

That setup will trade off a little top end power in exchange for BIG midrange. Since this is what you wanted, it should work very well (I've driven the same setup). If you get a chance to drive a regular 3076R car with open T3, do so. You'll know right away the difference your TS setup makes.

Honestly guys this does not impress me at all! I have a Borg Warner S256 T3 flanged turbo. I got rid of my GT series turbo to go with this setup because of the spool time of the GT series turbos was not impressive.

I can scan my dyno sheet in but I made 360tq/350hp on CBRD mustang dyno on 26psi 93 pump gas. Pretty much all I have done is a 2.3 stoker with S1 cams and a turbo setup. Stock head/TB/IM.......

I am using the REV hard cast manifold too! I am hitting full boost (26psi mind you) at 4000 RPM every time! This is exactly where my peak torque hits!

I will post up my dyno sheet to show you spool up but I do not believe my 2.3l is that big of a differance and a 2.0l should be right around 4200-4300 RPM.

I will post the dyno graph up tonight. I think a lot of people overlook the Borg Warner turbo's for some reason. This turbo is a regular journal bearing too! I am very satisfied with this turbo and hope to pass the knowledge on to everyone here to help get off this GT series kick for a street-able turbo.

You must be kidding, right? 2.3s spool turbos FAR FAR faster than 2.0s. Don't believe me? Here are two cars with very similar mods, 35Rs, and similar boost (~27psi). The red graph is my 2.3, the other is a 2.0. I'm sure your Borg Warner is nice, but thats not why you are spooling so fast.

BTW,

Just playin' with the Stallone thing. Now back on topic: Like I said, the spool looks great. I have no doubts about the tuner's ability, but the top end is not so nice. At 23psi and 93 octane, I'd expect to see it outperforming west coast cars on 91 octane, but instead, it seems a little weak or just average at best.

That's great, I would LOVE to see someone who actually had good results from an S256 ... you would be the first one I've seen for sure. But please post it in another thread, don't want to hijack a post from a paying vendor.

Phenem like smoggie said, there is no way you are getting full boost at 4k unless your manifold gives up a lot of top end for spoolup which might just be the case with the rev-hard manifold.

Also, the 2.3 makes a huge difference, I gained 0 hp and 40 ft lbs of tq going 2.0 to 2.3, the entire powerband shifted7-800 rpms to the left.

That's an awesome comparison! That should really show people the diff. between 2.0 vs. 2.3. I didn't know how much of a difference a having a stroker makes.

But the 2.3l gt35r definetly isn't the best autocross setup but works very well just have to learn how to stay in boost and where it comes on.

~Zach

He got 25 psi at 4000 rpm on his 35R too, isn't that incredible?

I hate when people make stuff up.
