Intake manifold testing.
Well if someone is OUR customer then they have nothing to worry about because when this is over we will sell the part we think are the best. For those that aren't buying crap from us anyway I don't really care to be honest.
Think of this, this way. If I said I was going to test 50 different intake manifolds here at the shop and I never posted a single result. I just came on the forums after the testing was done and said, "Attention everyone, now that our dyno testing is conducted we will be selling the XXXX Intake manifold." Wouldn't that really be enough? IF you support us, IF you believe what I do, then that is for sure enough. IF you don't then no matter what I say will make someone use what I recommend. (Although this is debatable as there are quite a few guys who don't like me that sure did jump right on the Green and HTA35r turbos
I don't think that every single product really HAS to be discussed. In the end you will know what I like best, simply look under the hood of my personal car.
We aren't a shop that just sells everyone's parts so we can make sure we are making every single sale we can. I can name an entire list of vendors in this market (DSM's/EVO's) that offer every thing they can get their hands on. I call them "******". They don't care what works best, most of them don't even own an EVO or DSM. We aren't a shop that popped up, ripped people off and closed, many of those over the last 4 years here. We also aren't someone who turned their back on the community for 10 months and then just magically reappears when a new EVO comes to market. They are here to sell you what you ask for and make a living. I say to hell with that. I am an enthusiast. I do this because I love it. I personally own 3 EVO's. I don't care about selling something that doesn't work as well as something else. I think picking the right parts to run and offer is the key to staying at the top. I hate to keep bringing it up but obviously the combination that is on my RS works, 9.6 at 151 in a legit street EVO is moving. The car makes 684 whp and 620 ft lbs, that's enough torque to show it's responsive and fun as to drive, even with a larger turbo.
Anyway, I just got the fuel line to fit with the intake I built. I will have those dyno sheets up by the days end.

well if you have done all of the testing and wont post up the info, this could really only mean one thing. You all ready said that you don't really know the guys at driven so they must have made more power then the ams manifold.
both a great manifolds, i think everyone on here deserves to know what one made more power, even if in this case it is not the ams manifold

by submitting their product to the "contest" they really shouldn't have a problem with the results going public.
hopefully the company that didn't do as well will take that knowledge and go back to the drawing boards and make something better.

Hang on, I have not said that one is a winner or not. You guys are reading into this. I said I was contacting each company before I post the results to make sure they are good with what I did. I have not spoken to all of them yet. When I have, if they want the results posted then I will post them. I will post all of them I have permission to post. The only intake manifold I have here to test that I paid for is the one from Magnus I bought on Ebay. The rest were given to me for the testing.
When I did the header testing a few years ago I did it this same way. I was asked not to post the results of the tests until after I spoke with them. I spoke with Full Race and GT Spec before I let the information out. Maybe I didn't write all of that in my posts but it was the case.
Yes, of course I will post what ends up on my car. Hell I might have to stick with stock though to keep from pissing anyone off
If I end up with two that are very close (which I already have) then I may end up offering two seperate products on our site for sale.

but what i dont get what happens if you get one on and then when he is done with his test its not the best? then what?
U2SLO, DB said I could 'modify' your manifold before you got it. You're making WAY to much power already.
My mods will include a Campbells soup can and a piece of sofa seat foam rubber.

Just for info on the car it's down to 2620 lbs.
Dave, I think I speak for a LOT of thread lurkers when I say how much we appreciate all the hard work and dedication you put into everything Evo around here. Sorry about the barbs and enemies, but it's part of doing business in such a competitive, hungry, public environment.
Keep up the excellent work.

The bell is flush on the regular version. That "new" picture shown above is of their race version, because you can see the plenum is much larger. The regular version is flat along the bottom. This one is not.
