I love it. You guys are all clueless. Unless you have the same intake manifold, turbo, and custom head as Martin, you results could be wildly different from his. Please don't expect that the cams that worked best on his car will work best on yours, especially if you have a stock head.

This is a great test, but you all are reading too much into it. For starters, some great cams didn't make the test. Remember the luck AMS had when they first popped the JUN 272 in their race car? +55-60whp over the HKS 280. And what about the BF272s? Dave Buschur is not the kind of gut to sell stuff that doesn't make power. And lots of people have made good power with HKS 280s.

And if you have a stock head, some of the cams in this test (mainly the ones with lots of lift) will flat out suck. Picking your cams based only on this test is pointless. I see lots of people drooling over GSC S2s and Kelford 272s and popping them on their stock heads with stock valvesprings and they're not going to get anywhere near the results Martin did and may wind up doing some damage.

edit: added link to AMS JUN272 cam post:

Kelfords 272's do not require springs and retainers under 8000rpms.

dude.. you already made a thread asking this same question...

Once again, here is a response... The BF 272s have NOT been tested in this test and are NOT the same as JUN 272s in specs.. According to the specs of the cams, you will NOT pick up extra power swapping the cams..
