9sec9/OKIX's EVO, ROUND TWO!
The trailer and car look great. Thank you very much for having our name on both. It's a pleasure to help you with it, I can't freaking wait for you guys to run it.
Good luck!!
Good luck!!
Believe me, I'm about ready to build my own damn track. Tony's been sick for quite a while. He's just now healthy and we'll be off and running. I have to keep my own personal goals first though. We could have run the car at Norwalk and let Trent drive it, just to see what it would do. It probably would have been better to do it, that way David could dial it in at the track. Perfect time to get it done, BUT...my personal goal is to do something with my son. All other issues are secondary. Nothing is more important to me than being with my son when WE meet our goals. I'm not complaining about any pressure, just stating why we haven't hit the track yet. I'm very well aware of other teams posting times and racing nearly non stop since we raced last. That doesn't change my desire to do things in conjunction with my son. We're now ready to launch our assault.
We actually have covenants restricting trailers, but the homeowners overlook us doing it because we were the first people to buy a home in the addition. We lived here for 8 months before anyone else even moved in. Then I did a lot to help the addition. Even the center island in the street is watered from my own well water. I just made another zone off of my own system. Our house backs up to our community pool and has a private gate from our backyard into the pool area. Because of that, my wife keeps an eye on the pool and the kids. The neighbors just kind of know that I don't make noise at all hours of the night and that I'm there to help them when they need it. The other picture with the trees behind is our side yard and the trailer stays tucked back in the driveway so you can only see it when you circle the cul de sac. Really, in general, a pretty good neighborhood. We did have an unknown leave a note about it one time, then the homeowners association found out about the note and sent a letter to all the homeowners defending our 'unwritten right' to keep it, based on our years of service. No more complaints. It's nice to have good neighbors.
