Forced Performance Evo Red Turbo data
Here's a good way to calculate if the flow numbers for our build is accurate. The Green is known to be a 49lb turbo. 49*9(hp/lb at the wheels on Buschurs dyno)=441. We made 443. Now, 60*9=540. One of our pulls actually made 540 at the wheels on Buschurs dyno. We just used a different dyno sheet because it's not always about a peak number. So 443 and 540 both indicate same power levels per 1 lb of horsepower on the same Dyno. The only variance is that we may be making more hp/lb now, due to the fact that yesterday was an extremely hot/humid day. Still, the outcome per lb of turbo is exactly the same at the wheels. Kind of proves it to be 60lbs for the RED.
ADDED: You had better call FP EARLY, or call Buschur Racing first thing this morning. I'll still be there and I'm sure the phones are already ringing. They've announced that they only have 15 currently available. Hope they didn't count mine as one of them.
ROBERT, I'm keeping it, don't sell mine.

9sec9, the #'s are excellent. If the upgrade from the Green to Red through FP isn't a ton of $, and it makes good pump gas #'s without a big increase in spool time, I might upgrade.
yeah, there's always going to be an upgrade. At some point, the upgrades won't be in terms of hp, but in terms of spool up, efficiency, packaging, etc. The FP lineup is pretty tight now. Think about it. The White with stock turbine and HTA compressor, flowing up to 48-49 lbs. The Green with a larger turbine wheel and a larger compressor wheel, flowing 49-50 lbs. Now, the RED with an even larger turbine wheel, an even larger HTA compressor wheel and flowing some where between 60-63 lbs. I've finally been able to evaluate all of my own numbers and power made and have come to the conclusion, that even 60 lbs is under-rating it.
im unhappy with FP,
I asked about the red and was told that there wasnt one in development
so i purchased a different turbo

It would **** even more people off if information was given out during alpha phase testing when there are no parts either on the shelf or en route or complete vaporware. There's gotta be parts available to fill build orders otherwise 100% would be pissed instead of 1%. Its really hard to get those who are involved in phase 2 alpha testing, before things are finalized, to stay quiet, but it looks like everyone has been zip lipped for a few months if it took y'all by surprise.

Justboosted02,
Two things that I know of have happened in the last 2 weeks. 1) A few of the Whites were sold too early and the word got out before FP was ready to make the announcement. That's why you can't make a hint about anything in development until you're completely ready. 2) The RED was in my bag of test goodies and they REALLY weren't ready to announce it, but our numbers on DAY 1 (yesterday) were so good that WE wanted to announce our results, but didn't know what to say that we tested. I absolutely wasn't going to lie and say it was a Green. That would indicate the our other parts were far better than they actually were. With that delimna in mind, Robert agreed to let us make the post and call it an Alpha Turbo. I wanted to give it a code name of the JACK RABBIT. I think Robert overruled my name at the last second and decided to announce the RED. Quick things happening require quick decisions. There are many people that should at least be happy that we were allowed to make the posts. I think keeping this dyno chart a secret would have been really tough for me.

i asked about the FP Red as well and they said won't expect it until end of the year. I have a 9 turbo there now and it's already converted to the FP Green, I just have not paid for it yet. I better be able to convert it to the Red and just pay the difference.
So the real question is----
1)... How will this turbo perform with out VP import and being pushed to its exploding limits?
2)...What boost can you run this turbo at to be efficient on pump gas, meth or E85?
3)...Bottom line I'm sure its a good turbo but we here in the EVOM community need more of a realistic generalization of this unit.

Of course. Which is why people should wait <gasp> before running out and purchasing this turbo before more data is accrued. It seems to me that will answer a lot of the questions people are asking.
