The EXEDY does not look blown. It does look about 4 months used though.

Maybe he popped his TOB clip, could not get the part by itself so ordered a new one and swapped the discs and floater out.

This sounds pretty likely.

Is there any part# stamped on each clutch? is this part# also printed on the box? Maybe MAP has the clutch's part# so it can be compared to what he got. I know that would help MAP prove they are legit. On another note, even though it is very unlikely, it could be that some fedex employee owns an evo, saw the EXEDY box (pretty obvious) and swaped it with a clutch he had lying at home.... very unlikely I know, but we have to look at this situation from all possible angles guys.

this sounds plausable.....MAP..how long was it between the order and the complaint?? perhaps he ordered a twin from another vendor. they told him they cant sell you a retaining clip for the TOB. he orders from THE top vendor for customer service....and claims that his clutch was used.

MAP should be cleared of any wrong doing.

all i am hearing is "quack quack quack"

The odds are really stacked with this. If there is more to the story....

No one can explain the used/missing parts

Blew his clutch in May, and tells us he had his stocker still in it. Almost 5 months driving on a blown clutch? No way.

Circumstantial albeit, but it explains a lot more than what I have read in this thread.

i think he(the kid) is scamming his dad also-if, in fact, that is his dad that actually wrote the email.

LMFAO at the Fed Ex guy going home to get a used clutch. How the hell would you sneak a clutch and flywheel out of work?

Ever seen what Fed Ex and UPS guys have to go through before they leave work?

At some one trying to hide a clutch under their shirt!

In one of his posts he says he blew the stocker, then went to mitsu to get a new OEM clutch, at least that is what I understood, maybe he can prove this, I mean he must show proof that he got an OEM clutch installed after may, that should help him.
I have never dealt with MAP, but from reading a bit I can tell they are a great company, and I will do bussiness with them should the opportunity arise.

I was thinking just that after I wrote it, it must be quite dfficult to sneak a package out... but if I was a sneaky fedex employee, I would just drive my truck to destination, pick up a friend on my way (he has the used clutch ready for the swap) he swaps the clutch in the back of the truck, I drop him of, then deliver the package... voila! j/k that is impossible, so nevermind about the whole Fedex being at foult
