Are you kidding? This Exedy is so gnarly it ate the flywheel during shipment! You can see that the flywheel didn't go down without a fight, hence the scratches.

Keep on going at it. Deal with the company more and just keep pushing. I think they are good.

Could we have someone post a picture of another exedy twin (new) for comparison purposes? I have never seen an exedy twin, but the ones in the pictures does look used to me, I mean if that is how exedy products look off the factory then I will think twice before getting one of their products. Someone mentioned that the clutch goes inside the car (not seen) hence it shouldn't be a problem, I ask would you be happy if you paid that kind of money and got a product like that? I wouldn't. Someone else mentioned the exedy letters all over the box, it is VERY possible some shipping employee got tempted and knowing what exedy is took the flywheel or even swaped clutches.
I am not saying in any way that MAP is doing shady bussiness, I think the shipping company has something to do with this.

It looks like the retaining clip is missing, the flywheel obviously is not there, the discs and floater are used.

In the defense of shipping weight the shipper can put any figure they want on the package. They can pay for a 50lb label, it doesn't mean the package weighs 50lbs. The only time UPS a carrier weighs a package is at the distribution center so that they can charge your account extra money if you under estimated it.

Personally. It looks like someone blew out their twin disc and thought that they could order a new one, swap out the new parts with the old ones and then claim "look what I got" and pull a wal-mart scam.
