HKS SSQV not working

I just put my car back together yesterday for the winter and found out my HKS SSQV is not working at all! It doesn't open to release the air to atmosphere. I had a tomei turbo tuned on E-85 for the summer and now I put the stock turbo back in with the stock ecu so I can run premium fuel for the winter months here in Iowa. I pulled the BOV apart and the valve does push in but feels a bit hard and slow to react. Does anyone know if I need to clean it out or is it hopeless and I have to fork out another $250 for a new one? I bought this one back in November of 2006 and put 40K miles on my Evo since. A little help please.

Well I took it apart and cleaned it by removing all those little allen key headed bolts. They were all very loose so THAT fixed the boost leak I was looking for a month ago. Idiot me I know...but I tightened them all down and the valve works sometimes and sometimes not. Where can I search for the repair kit? I gave it a google search and did not find anything. I'm thinking I am gonna go buy a new one if need be, as I have all new IC piping and its only for a HKS BOV, so the tial is outta the question.

I should have been more clear. Its not a repair kit but you can buy most if not all the components of the bov here.

My failed as i said and Ive yet to fix it, im debating going with something else cause while researching mine i did run across a lot of others (people) that seem to have experienced failures in theirs as well; but at the moment fixing it is a lot cheaper.

Why did you switch turbo's just cause of winter???

I suggest a new BOV, if your stock MAF and not recirculating then your losing boost recovery time and shooting raw fuel after shifts or throttle lifts.

I honestly don't know how anyone can stand that thing, its the most annoying BOV ever created IMO.

APS twin vent rock on.

That and the extreme bucking that is induced with this BOV is dangerous... trust me, when i bought my car it had one on it.

I never had any "extreme bucking" from the car or anything. And I got the valve cause it didn't leak under any boost level. Even when I had my tomei arms turbo on there boosting 30 psi on E-85. I live in iowa and the winters are very cold here so I just switched my turbo and ecu back to stock so I wouldn't have to fork out another 500 to get my AEM retuned on 93 oct. It was just easier to swap that stuff back for the winter as a couple weeks ago i couldn't get my car to start as it was 33 degrees outside. So my car sat at work for 2 days until it warmed up.
