no mangus intake is one of the best intake manifolds nope. your tuner is going to keep your safe i hope but again you will hit the tq wall before you know it with a black. you should beable to clear 500 barely but again anything over 420tq your playing with fire. Have people gotten more SURE but they know the risk and are prepared to buy anew block the secon they shoot a rod . I dont play childrens games well so i went built block i dont have time to be tip toeing around the issue of that i rather tune what whatever they can pull on my current oct level

My car - IX with TBE (w/HFC), MBC, Buschur FMIC, and tune

Without installing any additional parts, sans a fuel pump and injectors, how much power will the car make with a BBK Lite, a BBK Full, and a HTA Green? Just as importantly, where will the power be made and which setup will have the better transient response? Thanks!
No one wants to take an educated shot as to the gains on 93? I've looked at all posted dynographs, prorated the results, and I'm love to hear from the forum. What do you guys think?

Yes, the Magnus v5 will def help you hit a higher hp number while helping to keep your tq numbers tolerable on the stock motor. I would tune to about 420-430tq and whatever hp you make is what you make. A good rule of thumb is to keep your boost around 30psi and timing 14-16* depending on fuel. You don't want to run crazy boost because the tq will start to climb faster over 30psi and keeping the timing low will help reduce the cylinder pressure. All of that = healthy rods

On my car, when we put on the Magnus v5 I was able to to make an extra 20+hp while keeping the tq levels the same as it was with the stock manifold. Once you start turning up the boost, when you get a built engine, the Magnus will really start to shine! Out of all the mods on my car, the Magnus is one of the best mods I have found. If you have a good set of cams (ie GSC S2s), Magnus v5, and an 02 dump you will make loads of power. I made 540hp/430tq on the stock motor with my FP Red on pump+meth. With a proper setup you should be able to see 560/430 on the black with proper fuel

Good Luck!

Mikey

On the Stock injectors and OEM fuel pump you'll have to keep the boost and RPM down. Obviously those turbos flow more than the stocker and hold better boost as well. You'll def start to lean out on the top end

Might gain 20 hp with any of them if I had to guess but you'll def be limited

Sorry, I should have explained it better; the fuel system would be ungraded, but everything else stays the same.

I don't see another 50-60hp out of the question on pump from either the Full or the HTA Green with a solid tune. The Lite will probably end up short of that.

That HFC might hold ya back from the closer to 400whp depending on which one it is but nothing wrong with being GREEN .

Thanks! A few more questions:

I think we can deduce with some measure of safety that the Lite would have the least lag, but would it have the better transient response, as well? What about the powerband? Does the Full gain on the Lite all only at the higher revs (ie. +6K) or is there a befit through the range? How does the HTA Green figure into all this? What are the actual differences in spool?

Hey guys, new on here.. Don't slaughter me lol.. Trying to do some research on Evo 9's as I am possibly looking to buy one.

How much power do stock turbo/Intake/TBE/tuned evo 9's make?
What kind of setup would it take to make 400whp reliably for a daily driver?

thanks man lol

What's the most popular setup for 400whp?

There's just so much aftermarket and so many different setup's I'm seeing so Idk what is reliable and what has worked well lol

buy a fp red or black and you should be able to hit that marker on pump. You ll also need bigger fuel infectors,

Red would be the easiest way to get there without spending too much and keeping spool nice

What horsepower and tq do you think i would be around. I just want some rough numbers. I will be pushing 380 whp without the bbk full. Wondering if i went with the bbk where i would be thanks.
