The Mak should be very similar to an Evo 8 stocker w/ 10.5, but spool ~500-700 RPM faster. I'm trying to build a good auto-x car/ weekend play car, but I want it to LOOK stock. And yea I'm going to upgrade the pump as well! I really want to upgrade to E85, but the closest pumps to me are about 30 mins away

I'm building the car from the ground up (Mirage to Evo VI TME conversion) so I get to pick all the good parts the first time around

bump for some help with hp/tq numbers..... I know my setup is pretty generic/ wussy/ cheap etc. but Im still making payments on this car, ( mommy and daddy never help me out )

My real reason for posting is im looking at upgrading turbos ( depending on price ) and want to know tuned hp/tq numbers when upgrading to evo 9 turbos/ported mani's .

Im either going to get a fp green or evo 9 turbo depending on price vs power

the more meth injected the smaller the injector you need but you could go up to 1000cc without sacrificing driveability in a standard low impedance injector. You could probably get away with a smaller injector but the price is about the same and you'll have some wiggle room for future mods or if you decide to ditch the meth kit (many people do)

no idea what car you have but since you're talking about an evo 9 turbo as an upgrade I'd have to think you've got an evo 8. Going from an 8 turbo to a 9 turbo isn't worth much but they are cheap as hell. If you can pick up a used FP green that would be a worthwhile upgrade which has the potential for up to 400 on pump. I've had some freak customers do 425 but don't expect it.

I'd just like to know what can be pushed out of my current setup.
I recently had a rod bearing failure on my engine
But found out that my engine was in fact a 2.3 stroker. It was a rebuilt evo

So basically i have

Stroker 2.3l from JAM no BS
HKS 264\264 cam
Greddy adjustable cams gear
Brian crower spring\reteiner
Stock turbo evo 8 9.8 hotside
Injen TBE
Injen Intake SRI,upper lower Piping
Stock intercooler
Grimmspeed EBC
JDM 3 Bar map sensor

So what is the best\max boost reliable i can run and what hp can be expected? We only have 91 octane here thanks

I'd keep it around 25psi and dial it in for 91 octane, that's pretty odd combo with the built 2.3, mild cams and stock fmic. This is a wild guess but I'd say 350ish

I know it is quite a odd combo eventually i'll upgrade the intercooler it's just that i have a some money to spend on the car for now just to have it top shape after that i'll upgrade intercooler and turbo and for the cams they were already on it. Has i said it is a rebuilt car because it has been salvaged and the first owner kept is turbo after the accident and put back the stock one.

Now i i know what i have where i'm going.. Thanks for your help... by the way what would be the next logical upgrade... thanks again. Oh forgot i also have a walbro.

Well, hopefully you guys can give me somewhat of a baseline so I can know what to expect. Was thinking about eventually going to GST Motorsports to get my Evo tuned on their Mustang Dyno. Here's what I was thinking about doing:

Walbro 255
Perrin intake
Perrin 3.5" intercooler
ETS LICP
Apexi AVC-R EBC
Greddy Ti-C catback exhaust
Invidia O2 housing
91 Octane( I'm in between NorCal and Socal)

Basically, I'm looking for 300 WHP. Nothing major, just want something more than stock and fun to drive. I'm not totally set on the exhaust choice, was thinking about a downpipe. Also, the intercooler's for the summer heat we usually get, although this year was considered relatively cool as we didn't get 21 days of 100+ degree heat in July haha. The car's a daily driver and will be auto-x'd, along with some spirited driving in the mountains .

fmic

then the next level would be turbo/injectors and bigger cams if you want the most the turbo has to offer.

If you can make it work without knock, we have seen 510whp at 26 for reference. I cant remember if that was stock Intake manifold or Magnus however. There is a possibility it was with the Magnus, but my gut tells me it was a ported stocker.
