Rear Diff Options - Power Oversteer Found Here
A little update for me... I just got finished installing a tanabe front swaybar on the evo. As far as install goes, lets just say these are one of those things that you must really love your evo or really want that front bar on there. If I had to do it again it wouldnt be as bad, and luckily I had a lift to do it on. I was able to do it without removing any balljoints or tie rod ends which was nice.
.. Taking it out on a drive on some twisty mountain roads I can see a big difference. steering is sharper, the front does follow road imperfections a bit more now though. the stiffer front bar definately compliments a TRE diff and gruppe-s ACD race flash
I cant wait to get some track testing on this and see how it does.

I just ordered my 12 plate rebuilt diff from Shep. They had a core in stock and were great to deal with on the phone. Can't wait to put it in and try it out. I'm even more excited about this than all the power mods I'm about to install.
Just a mini update.. About to approach 8 weeks on waiting for my diff from Tre.. He e-mailed me on the 19th saying it was done, and then I emailed him back about shipping it back and payment and never heard from him again...
For those who need a speedy turnaround for any work on the diff, Shep is probably going to be a better decision around this time of year

he emailed me back saying he made a change to the design and that he'll be shipping it out asap!
Just spoke to Jon - Let me just say this - he more than made up for the wait.

Any reviews on how the car handles at
1) Fast corners on large circuits 100MPH that require either a small lift or no lift at all
2) Very fast bends on road above 150MPH and .5g
My setup is 450whp running on slicks or rally tyres with stock suspension. I have a usdm evo in Greece and compared with the rest european evo's i see that cars with less horsepower than mine and suspension mods are very unsettling on lift off and fast corners. Of course in slower corners i have too much understeer and compared to 1500 lbs cars i was used driving, the evo is horrible but i don't want to have an oversteering car at 150mph

i'm curious to get any word on how a quantifiable amount that these diffs lock up more than stock? esp the cusco and carbonetics.. and when they refer to 'stock' which stock they are referring to? i'm assuming for a part like the cusco when they talk about additional lock up its going to be in comparison to the JDM, either the AYC or the RS diff.
For anyone doubting these diffs provide more lock up over AYC, the Gates car switched from his AYC set up to the Cusco 1.5 way and commented that he got LESS understeer and MORE oversteer.

How much more these modded diffs would lock up over stock would vary a bit by who/how its done. The whole re-arranging the clutches to the 'correct' order way that you can do with a service manual I believe wont give you the maximum benefit as sending it out to a professional who also knows the little tricks of the trade during the rebuild, like TRE. I would be willing to bet between these two ways there will be much difference in the end result.
