they are not vin specific as far as I know - any 8/9 acd ecu will work with any evo 8/9

They are not, like Kyoo mentioned.

I still have an extra ACD ECU i can send if there are new maps made...i pretty much run the number 1 map out of the 3 i got, i guess its the dry map.
let me know if there are any new mappings you have and pm info where to send and cost etc.

fyi
I've had the TSCOMP reflash i think two years now along with the restocked rear lsd and full urethane bushings, corner balance and coil over height adjustments.
the car is mad. the way every evo should be...i think an more aggressive lsd is the only next step i have.
We do not have anything new, But we can adjust stuff custom if asked.

I wouldn't even know what to adjust for the acd. I do know I don't even use the stock maps anymore because they feel pretty flat compared to the new maps I got from you.
Maybe I'll just sell my original acd ecu. Or keep it as backup and send it to you reflashed as a backup.

555R its pretty good as it is. Id like Kyoo to test my code ill give it to him for free to review it if hes up for it. For the most part they all perform the same though. There's only so much you can do to improve the car.

I have a new shortblock going in, along with a Weir 12-plate in the rear. THEN I'm ready. Shooting for GTA at SOW.

was reading this article by motec from 2013 - pretty awesome results and give some insight into how the ACD should be set up - as I thought, more lock on braking, more open on corner entry/turn in, more lock on exit

http://www.motec.com/filedownload.ph...pdf?docid=4399

worth noting a few things:

Lap times, Evo X RS (Winton Raceway)

Fully locked 50:50 1m:36.9sec
Fully open (no control) 1m:35.8sec
Tuned diff (mixed values) 1m:35.1sec

I believe the evo X RS does not have AYC OR ABS, which could be a big factor. note that with the ACD set to open, how much oversteer is added into the car. this is corollary to what we've seen in our ACD improvements.

This is especially crucial for our USDM cars, which never got AYC, to compensate for that turn in/removal of understeer/push. More oversteer into corner entry, check. More lock under brakes allows stability, and as noted they go near full lock on acceleration and it practically allows the car to power oversteer without an aggressive or active rear diff.

Can't stress again how crucial this is for our cars. With the factory ACD setup + a mechanical diff on the USDM 8/9, what you're going to run into is understeer on corner entry and fwd like behavior. the ACD needs to be tuned to allow for faster turn-in & corner entry + some oversteer.

From what I could tell, early aftermarket ACD options just increased the lock period. These newly tuned ones have really improved the setup here to allow for optimal performance for corner entry, braking, and acceleration.

I definitely wasn't taking full advantage of the re-tuned ACD in my car during my last track day. I could have braked later and harder as well as powered out of turns sooner. I was being too easy on it.
I can't wait for another try.

yea honestly those are "added" benefits to me. the biggest thing I wanted to address was the understeer on corner entry that USDM cars that the euro cars did not have.
