The Fel-Pro gasket only works with early 4g63 / DSM variations, you will be hearing from Nate shortly sir sorry for the confusion.

Nate was quick at sending me an email and calling to explain the circumstances. I appreciate you guys catching that because I'm sure I would have installed it and not thought twice about if it would be compatible or not lol. Maperformance FTW!

ok after hearing all of this and searching other builds and everything i have decided 2.4... just sounds like an all around better build.

block ordered

now time to buy long rod internals ... any advice / sizes on those?

not many choices, in a 156mm rod there are manley turbo tuffs and maperf has some nice ones made by howards. others are custom.

Where did you order your block from?
What are you after or what is your budget?
Personally, I tried to make my LR 2.4L the lightest steel rotating assembly.

It was a tough decision for me, since I had a 100 mm billet crank w/ both short blocks, the 4g63 & 4g64. I got a great deal on 156 mm manley tt rods & weisco hd 1400 pistons, that helped influence my decision.

What's the lightest steel rod in 156 mm lenght?
Any good news about alloy rods fitting in this kind of build?
As regards weight savings i've found titanium writs pins available weighing about 70 gr each, vs the 135/140 for steel ones, in your opinion are they worth an additional expense of about 400$?
Thanks.....
