John Bradley, any good news about 156 mm alloy rods in 2.4 lr application? I received a quote for titanium rods from Crower, 600 dollars each ( ouch...) so if there was a cheaper alternative it would be a great thing....
What do yo think about titanium wrist pins? Their weight is about 70 gr instead of the usual 135/140, so a global saving of about 250 gr on top of the assembly, do you think advantages can justify an extra expense of 500 dollars?
Thanks in advance....

Since we cant get an alloy rod that will fit and still have the strength to justify we havent tried going ahead with them in the 100mm motors.

I want to do Ti stuff next and I think (after talking to some aircraft techs) that as much Ti as you can afford to put in a motor the better. What do the rods weigh, thats awesome on the pins?

Crower quoted me 406 gr for 150 mm rods, and about 435 gr for 156s, as regards the pins, i found these: http://www.tricktitanium.com/wrist-p...ric-dimensions
What do you think about it? In my opinion they could be interesting, in a very lighweight build, 250 gr less on the top should make a certain difference. Not cheap, but maybe effective, in theory.....
