Unless the 10.5 housing was extensively ported there really shouldn't be that big of a difference powerwise between a ported and nonported stock housing. The difference is slight and could be fudged out depending on the skill of the tuner.

Most porting jobs offered currently are actually pretty mild. There is a gasket match which is blended down into the turbine inlet area about an inch. Also, some jobs open up the turbine discharge area removing the overhanging lip in the casting at the exit area just beyond the turbine wheel's exducer.

Thats why I do all my own port work and I "extremely" ported my 9.8hs. I actualy removed alot of material not just polish it.

A few years ago we swapped one on to a friends car b/c his 10.5 got stripped out. He didn't really lose any power. This was on a IX. The car was tuned by Aaron @ ER.

Not sure. I was at the dyno after we finished the install, but its been too long since then. Aaron would have to comment if he remembers or has the dyno plot or logs, which Im sure he does.

Found out today my turbo was an older billet wheel white rabbit with a clipped turbine wheel... Sigh.. 71hta here I come with 11.5 and fap

Was your previous hotside ported? is your exh mani ported?

what w/g actuator ware you running?

any idea when you might get back on the rollers?

Initial impressions are great! Feels good, pulls hard up top even at 20 psi. I'm having some boost issues which I'm sorting out. Not sure yet what the issue is. Seems to spool just as quick. Previous hotside was a Buschur coated/ported and I run the Shearer header. Wga is Fp 25 psi. Not sure when I will be back on the rollers. ER is pretty busy. Might have to see if I can just get on another DJ local, but I'd like to test it on the same DJ I always use which is ER.

I ask because I just received my 11.5 housing and the puck comes out quite a bit from the housing, I am wondering if it will have interference issues with O2 housings. .

Another thing I noticed, it has A3N cast on the housing. A little research turned this up....
