I just want to be able to do more runs to get a better average since i only was able to do a couple this time around,i'm still waiting on my wg dump tube to come back from my fabricator and then i can start doing more runs, the way it sits right now my wg is open and it's spraying right into my radiator which is already stained by the heaat so i don't want to damage it,i still haven't finished tuning it and the spool isn't as good as it's supposed to be beacause the wg is set up too low right now to only 22,in my last run i was getting full 22 psi by 4800 wich is slower spooling than when i had it on my 2.0 so when i'm able to spool this up properly it will be really fun,i do expect to see better numbers,i'm also switching to a Grimspeed next week so that should help improve spool also, can't wait!

I wonder how it would go on. 2.0L

More than likely i will have more results next week when i get everything i need to do more runs, when i had the same turbo on my 2.0 it did 440 @ wheels at 30 psi on 93 oct,i think if you look back on this thread or on the other Kinugawa thread you'll see my sheet, and it could have been better but i didn't have time to finish tuning it,and that was on a mildly modded 2.0 also and spooled great.

Cheers for the response mate,
I think I'll just stick with the td06sl2r-20g with 10.5cm hot side as a daily. Been reading up on this turbo and it's lag is very minimal compared to this and will suit a daily much more.

I had the 25g on the 2.0 and it spooled great while having a good punch on the top end, can't go wrong with the 20g though

I am impresed. I'm thinking about ditching the atp 30r for this turbo. I have been looking for something that spools about the same (4200) but makes a bit more top end. I think this will do it.

One of my customers i tune locally has a 3076R and i'm not impreseed with it at all,the most we were able to get was 410 at the wheels with a modest set up,this turbo spools faster with more power potential on top.

I pulled acouple virtual dyno logs in the 390s on 91 w/s2 cams. It seems like it should make more. I'm blaming the back housing, hence the desire for the 10.5^ housing with the same size wheel in it.

I think you're right,we tried more boost but we actually lost power due to high egts which lead me to believe there is restriction somewhere in the back housing raising egts, you'll love the 25g if you get it,i did 440 @ wheels in a lightly modded 2.0 on 93 oct. with great spool.

That's funny you say that. I made those #s @21psi and lost almost 40whp turning it up to 27psi. More tq, less hp. Had to pull lots of timing and add way too much fuel to fight knock.

guys im new to the 4g63. i know this is a lame noob question. right now my car puts down 335awp on the 16g with a complete ebay exhaust, walboro 255lph. the rest of the motor is stock. i am torn betwen a 20g and 25g. i want the 25 but do i need to run an aftermarket manifold, i would prefer the oem for financial reasons but whats the treshhold/ hp on this motor before i have to start spending lots of money. i understand there lots of varibles etc that would play into this. thanks

Both the 20g and 25g are stock replacement style turbos which bolt straight up with no modifications needed, these motors take about 430tq at the wheels before needing upgrading, imo go with the 25g,the power potential is really good for the price and the 20g don't have that much more power potential compared to an evo9 turbo
