The billet wheel in the link above is clockwise. Do you have a link for the correct one?

supposedly there was one even before the compressor kit came out that was the correct rotation and was the same price. i brought the same question up when i first saw it. now though for $400 you can have a turbo that with a little machining has the possibility to take down fp green cars for sure. i plan to put it to the test.

Im not good at posting links but if you go to kinugawas site, ypull see they have the billet compressor wheel kit for the evo9 turbo going for 400 bucks. Same housing as boostzalot just billet wheel instead of there cast aluminum wheel. i currently have a f/s thread on the srtforums trying to reel in some extra cash to beef up my fuel system and grab the.new billet 25g compressor kit and see what it does on corn. Traction is already a issue.with the 20g so im sure im going to have a lot of fun with this new setup on the streets/track lol...

Hi All, just ordered mine today for an Evo 7 TD06SL2R-25G with Billet Wheel, antisurge evo9 compressor housing and for free, chose the 11.5cm housing to help ensure no surging... Will post Pics when it arrives. Aming for big HP pump gas turbo. Can always try a 10.5 housing later, but they are easy to get vs 11.5s.

The first time the wheel came out i contacted Kinugawa about it and they said it's a direct replacement to the original 25G blade,my guess it's that it must be an over imposed picture. Also if you look at the wheel next to it in the catalog,"Garrett GT3076R" it looks like it's the same picture.

It is very similar in spec - this why i decided to give the Kinugawa a go. Comparison below. Slightly bigger than GT3076 and with Billet wheel.

Garret GT3076 (500WHP+)*
TURBINE
Inducer Diameter: 55mm
Exducer* Diameter: 60mm

COMPRESSOR
Inducer Diameter: 57.0mm
Exducer Diameter: 76.2mm

TD06SL2-25G (Billet)
TURBINE
Inducer Diameter: 54mm
Exducer* Diameter: 61mm

COMPRESSOR
Inducer Diameter: 60.2mm
Exducer Diameter: 78mm

500+ ... thats really pushing it on a 3076 unless its on e85 and has some ridiculous amount of supporting mods :/

Ive seen cars here in utah on 3076's on 480-500 on a mustang dyno. so its possible for sure but like you said, it requires a great deal of supporting mods and a great tune. one of the cars went air to water with something special in the res for much more dense air. either way, that 500whp is based on a subjective amount of data (engine displacement, VE, boost, density recovery, altitude, fuel, etc).

Oh yeah absolutely, its a good baseline. Do you or does anyone know the flow rate of these 25g's? I can't wait to see your dyno chart and how it compares to the other competitive brand turbos out there right now

cast 25G is about 57lb .
billet easily 5lb more.

stock turbine wheel 5h will only support about 45lbs compressor flow. you guys are way off thinking you are gonna get good results here.

unfortunanantly, this is true in regards to the stock turbine, which will be this turbos weakest point. if he was to op for the td06slr turbine, would be a preferred matched turbine for the unit and more suitable for the flow rate the 25g comp wheel generates. you can also order the new 9 blade turbine kamak offers which is great for reducing back pressure and with the use of a 9 blade turbine wheel with there shrunk tips, its great to decrease weight, which in terms decrease lag. but, for a budget diy turbo, if you know turbos and know how to make them function correctly without causing nothing but headaches, and have good resources with lots of info and tips, and cant forget the right shop to make all of this magic happen, you should be straight.

heres a pic for comparison...these arent the turbines used for reverse rotation turbos, hense the direction the turbine spins, but just to give you guys an idea of how this turbine looks and compares to the td06slr 11 blade turbine...

I think you're right,i had pretty good results but i have the "whole thing",i think the TD06SL2R had a lot to do with it!
