Depending on how fast you need to get on boost, I do not feel you will need nitrous, my car was making boost when it broke and was at 3800 rpm. Now a low compression 2 liter with a GT42r on it may be a different story. Trans brake?! Uh........maybe

David, are any of the parts you are working on useable on the Evo 7 GTA? If so , i would be very interested. Even if not, I am still interested.

Will you also be offerng the TCU? I am looking at ways to get the EVO 7 GTA TCU unlocked to help with tuning but so far its all uphill.

Thanks

Tony

No, nothing we are doing is going to work on the GTA trans but if you want to stick with an clutchless trans that you will have to manually shift........I can probably ship you one! There is no TCU.

On the first trans I destroyed I was running English/Andrew's "Magic Box". I tried a different wiring before that and it didn't work correct. English/Andrew's did work and in the meantime the wiring I had was sent back to someone else who was helping me.

That wiring is now re-done for this new trans set up we are going to test very soon, I think in less than 2 weeks I should be good to go.

I'm overly excited in this new stuff.

Well change of plans on some of this today.

My good friend Matt wants an auto and is losing his mind over it! We are going to put my first trans back together with the 300m shaft from English when they get it out to me and put it in his EVO.

Matt has been with us since 2003, through good luck and bad he's been with us and him and I have become great friends through it all. Stand up great guy.

I'm going to give him all my parts I took out and we are going to test it again in his car while I am working on the new trans.

Matt's car ran 9.60's last year on a twin scroll header I built years ago for our Black car with an HTA86 on it. He is now running one of our 2.1 engines. We'll start off with the boost and rev limiter low and just see if it will hold up like that. Sneak up on it at the BR Sport Compact race coming up in June. Hopefully him and I will both be running the autos at that race, his the original style and mine the new trans.

Best of luck Matt!!

That's great! I hope to see it last with the new 300M shaft!!

Yes, it would be nice to make the first transmission available, even if it's for guys looking to run maybe as fast as just 9.90's. The cores are readily available and not horribly priced too but for a fast car I just don't see them holding up.

New update, thanks to my friend and customer, Nick Andy, we have all the engineering set up we need and the drawings being made. The engineering should be done in less than two weeks. From there the drawings go the pattern maker and then to the foundry. It's a huge relief to have it all underway finally and a HUGE THANKS TO NICK!

Haha, I know you can't Nick! Me too! I had someone tell me the other day I really needed to get into the GTR market and it wasn't too late. I told him I was building parts to make GTR KILLERS! haha
