Right now I have one Dan, it appears I bought one more. That one is spoken for. I have the search out for more but they are VERY hard to find.

The hopes are that this week we can confirm this other trans I have bought is the same as what I have and if that's the case it will make things easier. Still not what I'd call "readily available" though. It's going to be a constant search to find the units but the strength of these will make it a very good choice.

Shafts should be done by the end of the week or early next week when Luke talked to them today. Supposed to get the call to find out tomorrow for sure. For those that are interested it looks like we will be in the "Big Case" business for the DSMs also near the end of the week or next week.

No pricing for either as of right now.

That's great on the shafts. I'll still take mine, even if I end up selling the entire project to you! haha I may have to put the trans back in and try it with the new shaft. What is the "Big Case"?

Also, how is the 300m Tcase stuff coming for the DSM's? Don't forget I need a tcase with your 300m shaft in it.

We got the first trans in we were waiting for that I found. It's hard to tell but right now I think we may just be in business. I am to meet Vinny to take it apart and verify this week, maybe Saturday. If everything checks out the big money investment will start and my trans will be built and go back in my car.

Right now it is going to take about 16 weeks from the time I give the casting shop the go ahead to produce what we are trying to build. I know it's a long time but in the meantime it will give us a ton of data and I should be able to prove it all in my car, which is better for everyone.

Yeah Dan, if we can get this started ASAP then 16 weeks could make this available right around Shootout time.

It is crazy what you guys are accomplishing. I wish both shops the best in making this a reality for the masses.

Glad you are determined, IDK how I get on the waiting list for one of these but I want on it! I'm trying to break the 1000+hp barrier this year and this would go PERFECT with what i'm trying to do!

nvr2fst, this would be perfect for getting the 1000 hp down the track but not for making big dyno numbers. I'd be glad to get you on a "list". Send me a PM with your name/address/phone number and I will keep it on hand and contact you when things are ready.

UPDATE! GREAT NEWS!

After weeks of research and waiting to meet with Vinny we finally got everything done today. I've bought three transmissions since breaking the first one in the car. These other three were all experiments, shipped in from all over the world and different than our first attempt.

The great news is we have figured out a solution and it is going to be bad ***. The investment to produce this is very expensive though. I don't see an alternative though based on the power the EVO's are making and knowing that the cars are only going to get faster as time goes, especially if they have a REAL transmission behind them.

This new solution starts with internal parts that are just ridiculously stronger than the first trans we tried and more comparable to the 1g transmission and even that isn't as strong. We all know how fast the 1g/2g trans have already proven themselves to be good for.

So here is the plan. We have some machine work to do and then we can build one transmission. That is going into my car and is a combination of everything we have figured out to date. The testing will begin and continue in my car. In the meantime the long work of having all the other parts produced for this project will start. That is going to take approximately 16 weeks from the day we approve the quotes I got.

What I am hoping is going to happen and myself and Vinny are pretty confident, is the trans will go in, stay in and run some record times and prove to be extremely reliable between now and the time all new parts are built so we can sell this to the public.

I honestly can't imagine breaking what we have built now and my hopes are high!

We have quite a few things coming to the table and I will get into all of it once it is in the car and running. The entire project is very complicated to be honest and just keeping what we are doing straight requires constant notes.

Some other good news is with the first trans we built there was no LSD option it was all open diffs. With this setup LSD/ACD options will be available!

I'd like to think in about 2 weeks I will have my car up and running again.

That's GREAT NEWS!!! I can't wait to see this in action. What about a trans brake and will we need to spray to get the bigger turbos to spool?
