killed mt tc-trans case

I installed a new act clutch( on jack stands no less) had it all together then realized the snap ring came off. took everything back off and after putting it back i was torquing the tc to the trans and the case cracked both on the t-case side and the tranny. Been looking for a new case but even used so expensive. With 4 kids and a mortgage cant afford it right now. Tried some good old jb weld( temp just to get things on the road) anybody know of a place where i can get the cases for cheap? dont need the internals just the cases.

Now i'm stuck driving the 89 dodge d100 with its own set of tranny probs. 3rd gear is gone and no reverse. If not for bad work i would have no luck at all!

Usually they crack in that situation when they're not lined up correctly, and one tries to join them by tightening bolts in to force them together. No fun

Transfer case sold, do a search in the for sale section for transfer case, there's a few good ones out there. Maybe you can have it welded?
