BW S366 SX-E (6668) TwinScroll Experiment

Previous build and dyno results can be found below.

I don't normally do this, but I am changing my setup to try something new starting tomorrow and car is already on the lift. I am by no means unhappy with the current setup and it really is fun to drive, but a crack in the manifold requires a change. I will still be running a T4 TwinScroll with the same 1.00 a/r turbine housing, but I had AGP send the S366 with the 68mm turbine wheel so I can use it with my existing housing. The larger compressor goes from 76lbs/min with the 62mm wheel to 87lbs/min with the 66mm wheel so about another 100hp worth of flow. The other change I will be making is the wastegate dumps will not be recirculating, which I hate. While this will not be part of the initial efforts, I also ordered a 4.08 final drive from Jacks along with the EVO 8 5th gear set. So just to recap here are the changes...
  • S366 SX-E (68mm turbine option)
  • Non recirculating wastegates
  • New PCV setup with AC Delco electric pump
  • Changing front motor mount to something more compliant
  • 4.08 final driver (after initial results)
  • EVO 8 5th gear (after initial results)

the bw is tough, cheap, and performs well. Besides, Garrett doesn’t currently have a T4 TS option I care to have.

The vband flange I had machined did not arrive today so I’m kind of stuck because I need to fab the downpipe before doing the wastegate dumps.

The vband flange I had machined arrived today, but the ultra tight radius 90deg bend (0.84d) was not so "ultra" and was actually 1.06d. Damn ebay scammers! Had to reorder from original source at a higher price so it won't arrive until Friday. I will focus on mounting the Delco vacuum pump until the UTR 3" bend arrives.

how are you going to measure/log crankcase pressure data?

What pressure drop are you hoping to achieve?

Stock for most engines is a couple inches of mercury say 20" H2O

The UTR 3" pipe arrived in one day! Downpipe complete (minus O2 bung) and sometimes you just get lucky when cutting the pipes!

I’ll discuss everything once I get to that point, which should be soon.

After all these years of always running recirc gates, I'm surprised to see you go external.

The new kit looks good. Looking forward to results!
