Ive made about 20 track passes on my stock clutch and put down a little over 300whp down.I also have 14,000 miles on my car with tons of road races under my belt.Sound like you either beat the hell out of your car or you just cant drive.
If you have gone through 4 clutches then it is the way you drive it. Nothing wrong with driving hard but things will break. So after four clutch replacements it is obvious that you drive aggressive and put the drive line in contstant shock. The same reason that you went through clutches is the same reason you had issues with the TC and rear diff. I have a 550+HP S2000 and I won't drag race it even with the upgraded diff. A couple buddies of mine shake their heads and wonder why I won't but they don't understand why and how things break. With over $30k of mods done to it...I just don't want to break things due to my ognorance. I just hate spending money on things that I could have avoided by doing the smart thing.
Not to come off disrespectful but how many years of driving a stick do you have. With 16+ years of driving I have always had a manual. My friend just bought a new G35 coupe and at the same time bought a spare clutch...haha. He is 30 and this is his first manual ever so we gave him a crash course and sent him off. After three weeks he is doing much better but still has problems doing some things.
I also let a female friend drive my Evo once...and only once because she was using the clutch to control her speed and not the gas/brake. I was like NOOOOO!!!! never touch the clutch unless you are starting, shifting or at a stop. She drive a manual car so I can't imagine what her clutch looks like.

Driving a luxury car won't make you "grow up"... but taking responsibility for your actions is a good start. I broke the $hit out of my first (black) Evo by drag racing it, went through 2 clutches, a transfer case, and a transmission. I payed out the cash to repair my mistakes and wised up. The STI wouldn't have done any better with you behind the wheel.

Hmm, my evo was with 28,000 miles on the clock with stock clutch, no problem...
few autox, drag, hard launches, No problem, decided to sell it and get something different and relax for a while, I have to payoff my bills, etc.. but I'am thinking to buy another one near future... I think if you abuse it, you have to know how...

Have any of you guys heard what the STI "weaknesses" are and how Subaru is with covering warrenty? I have a good buddy thats a turbo 2.5RS driver and longtime member on NASIOC, and he says that he thinks subaru is even worse than Mitsi in terms of warranty issues. They have the exact same problem with making high performance cars that unknowledgable drivers beat the hell out of then expect them to fit the bill for.
Just wondering what everyone had heard, and where is the weak link built into the STI's drivetrain?
