Need help with a o2 simulator
wow that looks fantastic.
no connector, no instructions
newer O2 sensors usually have 4 wires.
you just need to figure out which goes where (I know, that didn't help much did it...)
Here's something that would help, you can just purchase the CEL fix kit from www.logicperformance.com it is basically a spacer/dampener. It moves the O2 sensor out of the gas stream and has only a small hole at the end. Works great on my car.
and it only cost like $10

you mean to tell me that you are not running a sensor in the rear?? The simulator has to work in conjuction with an 02 sensor. Its a 4 wire simulator. Red to switched positive which you can find on one of the four wire going to the sensor. Black to a good body ground. And now the white has to go in-line with the o2 sensor signal feedback to the ECU. you would have to cut that wire and hook up each white wire at each end. But remember, the o2 sensor has to be in the o2 bung 4 it to work. Good luck

Damn i need the actual o2 sensor plugged in? Well if that is the case could I just tap off my Wideband o2 sensor which is right behind the cat? I am using a Inovate wideband which comes with a bosch sensor i think.

Whats is wrong with where i put me sensor for the wideband? Even the threads he linked say thats its ok..
"i have heard you are supposed to do them about 18" at least or farther away. just not after a cat, and if no cat, then i dont think it should matter."
The vishnu downpipe has a bung for a wideband because not every customer will run catless. My bung is only like 18inches from where the vishnu downpipe has theres. I don't see how this can be a problem.
Well back on to the o2 simulator subject. Can I just tap the wire off the o2 sensor provided by Innovate?

That is the o2simulator.com SIM. What you have is the dual output simulator for cars with 2 post cat sensors. (it will still work for cars with one sensor. Just use ONE of the output wires.)
Here is a little How-to I wrote up for a 3G eclipse. (being two mitsubishi;s the wiring *MIGHT* be the same)
http://www.club3g.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13005
O2 sim ---------------------Car
White-----------------------Blue
Black------------------------White
Red--------------------------Black(there are two black wires, only one will work.) Turn ignition to "run" Test both. Led will blink when correct wire is connected.[The led blinks slowly]
Edit:A few extra notes.
You *MUST* clip the blue wire coming from your car and disconnect it from the o2 sensor.
You need to leave all other wires connected to the sensor, Only tap into them. Do not cut them completley.
[The reason for this edit is because I disconnected the actual o2 sensor completley. The o2 sensor needs to stay hooked up because of the o2 heaters. If they are not working you WILL throw a code.]
