i just put on an aftermarket intake and took off the induction piece and am now getting a service engine soon light do i have to have it on or what can i do to get rid of the light

why woul u change the stock air box??

 

should i leave it stock or what i got about a 2psi boost gain from it but that stupid *** light came on again the dealership said it cant run right unless it has those plastic pin in it whats the deal with that

 

You need to get it tuned.. With an intake,but your SES light shouldnt of came on with just that upgrade... cant you pull the code?

 

havnt tried i am going to get it tuned once i get my cams and cam gears what else should i get i want to get 400wheel power

Why don't you by a OBD2 scanner and pull the code? Or go to a local auto parts store, they can pull the code for you and you can figure out what's wrong with the car.

 

Pull the code.. go to autozone or autoparts... sometimes you need to reset the car when you do certain upgrades..especially with intakes... You disconnect the battery for like 10min...before you reset the ecu pull the code so you know what it is... When u disconnected the harness to the Maf it might of caused the SES.

Pull the code then you will know whats going on.

 

u should of just left the intake alone, ur not going to gain much from having it on, now ur just costing your self more money.... from what you could of put into your evo....
