Goodbye EVO goodbye Mitsu....
I own a VW GTI 2003 20th anniversary and you want to talk about problems....heh, i love my VW no doubt but the headaches i've had it's not worth it, it's up for sale right now looking for another car. VW's customer service isn't any better than anyone elses, each car has problems and issues and some dealerships are nice and some aren't, but the 1 think i've learned from buying a VW and my other friends that own them, is that i hope you love squeaks and rattles because they all have em loud as %$$#

I dont care about warranties thats why we have our EVO's I do all the work on these things myself. They're a breeze to work on parts are readily available. Id never let a dealer touch any performance car excluding a ferrari, or Lambo they do more harm than good. You made a good decsision if you dont work on your own stuff. If you did youd still have your EVO cause that master cyl/Brake booster job could have been fixed easily and alot cheaper if you did it your self. Plus you would not have bouht that R32 for fear of having to work on it. Mitsu service is the worst but I knew that prior to buying my EVO and hers. I had an Integra a while back that had issues that could have probably been fixed under warranty but I'd never let anyone else but me touch my car. (excluding friends and Adam at Boosted Solutions) (Thanks for the help on the clutch install man)

I had a 2002 1.8T GTI and the finish on the wheels was defective. They started peeling within about 4 weeks of getting the car. I contacted the dealership and they told me to bring it it.
The wheels were in perfect shape-flawless. Instead of giving me a new set of wheels, Volkswagen decided to put my car up on blocks for the better part of a week while the wheels were sent back to Germany, refinished, and then sent back. For every repair you get, the dealerships will contact VOA (Volkswagen of America) first to authorize the repairs.
You're leaving one company with poor customer service for another.

Now on the other hand, if you're happy with your new VW then that is what is important.
Me, I will take the performance of my IX with a few simple bolt ons over any VW. But, I care about performance every minute I'm behind the wheel. Some ppl are content with driving anything with 4 wheels that can hit the speed limit during the week and save the toys for the weekend though.

Then you understand how I felt about the Evo after the brake issues.

i had an 04 r32 i bought brand new and i sold it when one of my stock rims liteally cracked in half (THANK GOD it didnt happen while i was doing 100mph)and they refused to cover it (and supposedly theyre OZ wheels), i didnt even hit anything and it cost me $900 !! for one rim and one tire. VW's warranty poicies suck. I have also heard airbags deploying at random as someone stated above
so thats my story about "goodbye R32 goodbye VW"

OH I wasnt debateing this at all. VW's suck too dealer wise my friends had nothing but headaches. The only reason I said he did the right thing is cause he doesnt work on his own cars and he pays dealers to do so. For him a warranty in a must. Me Id never use them anyway. I dont trust anyone to touch my car when Im not right there.
