Why in gods name would mitsubishi release a GTA version of the evolution with all this extra performance stuff and no power windows, locks etc.?
EVO SPECIALIST is pulling all this info out his ***...FACT
Mitsubishi is trying to NOT go bankrupt...doing something like offering a 35k dollar car without windows and locks has absolutely ZERO market.
People forget the same damn thing happened with Japanese sports cars in the 90's... Notice the RX8 and 350Z both have less power and cost significantly less than their previous versions. The next gen Supra is going to be the same way.
I personally love my car, but wouldn't be suprised in the least if both the STI and EVO are canned in less than five years...

Last time I checked the Cobra R had no ac, back seat or power anything and it sold for over 50 just a few years ago.

New rear end, new front lights. Its reasonable to expect the 2004 jdm evo to go down that styling road as well. The 2004 US model may stay the same as the 2003 one (given that the us just got the car.. most companies tend to keep the shape for at leat 2 years)

it won't be till wednesday that I will be able to take a trek down to the dealer.. so these pictures will have to do in the mean time... (from the
jap site .. The Mitsu dealer's cars in Jamaica are jdms)
The one in the showroom is exactly like the white one pictured here:

I heard from the dealer( my dealer) that next year we are going to have FQ-300 which is a stripped EVO, No AC no power windows or power doors, no radio and so on. It will have six speed and 305 HP and 310 Tq. From an ECU upgrade.
New EVO-9
No..it's not a concept..and it's a real pic of EVO9. Actually the Lancer in US market is already old model for Japan and Taiwan market. They are selling new model now. Maybe the EVo8 and lancer(US) are new to you, but in Asia, it's old one. If you can read chinese on the pic, you will understand what'm talking about. It said the Mitsubishi will use this new EVO9 back to WRC. and it's horse power is 300up.
......
The Evo 8 was launched at the same time around the world.
Not sure what you're talking about when you say that the Evo 8 is an old model - that's just bad information. And that makes anything you have to say suspect.

First off the 8 is the newest Evolution revision world wide. Second while the new Lancer Cedia does have a similar front fascia that does not necessarily mean that there will be a new Lancer Evo 9 or that it is out in Asia. Also, there is a handshake agreement in Japan between the major automakers to not exceed 300hp so that statement is false even though it is widely known that the EVO is underrated in its homeland. I would also not create new threads on the same topic, not a good way to get acquianted with the Mods here.
