my source came from mitsu and from a engineer which i cant mention names because mitsu monitors this site. but his initials our p.f. . and like i stated it may not happen to the 8.5 but to the 9. besides when we do warranty work they have been sending questioneers asking what else you would like to see in the and not see (clue) i wonder were there going with that.

 

Why would they be so absurd as to send a quesitonaire to a current customer? I think someone may want to clue them into market analysis 101. You find out why non customers aren't your customers. Get the wants of people who are holding out and why they are holding out.

 

how they choose to run there marketing is there choice, but either way its still information. i will ask more questions when i go back up in october.

 

mitsupwr: thank you. in no way did i expect a name, but when people say that there will be no changes and dont back up their info, it is irritating. im just trying to figure out if i should buy up an EVO for invoice, or wait till the 04's come out.

 

Why would you question those who are holding out? What relevent information can they give. No, you want to hear from the the Owners who know about the car. If you find out what they think need to be chaged, added or left alone, then you can make improvements to the next model. They know what they are doing. FYI, Mitsubishi Corp is the 10 largest company in the World. You don't get there by needing a refreshere course in marketing.

 

thats why we are going to a global engine between hyundai, mitsu and chrysler in the next couple of years. because we get no feed back from our public and what they might want. maybe if they listend to those who have our vehicles and there input, it will bring other buyers who might of skipped us becuase that could be what they our looking for in a vehicle. btw 04 gets the 6-speed

 

BTW: If 04 gives acd/ayc and a 6-speed im glad i purchased an 03 (Read up for a detailed anaysis)

And second...Evo's aren't selling worth a jack...So don't expect to see it for long.

 

i never said it was getting ayc , but possible acd. and still possible the rs version. but the 6-speed is just to compete better with the sti.

 

Do they change numbers every 2 years? Generally speaking perhaps, but look at E5 and E6...but who cares what number, each evo is has been great or should I say JDM

Don't know if they will bring back the a GTA version, next Evo9 will be the last model to roll out from what most say...I suspect that too. I may not work for MMC, but as a family company Mitsubishi Electric...we do alot of work/research with MMC. I've not heard reliable source about a GTA making a return, and having worked for so long for Mitsubishi here in Japan...I'd say MMC (Japanese companies) especially will be focusing on more agressive cost cutting and main stream models.

 

I thought there were some dealers going to vegas this past week to see the 04 evo.... any info back on what is new or if anything is changing

 

i just got back from the national dealer meeting for mitsubishi. i am dealer 23006 in grnad rapids michigan. the evo will be here for 2004 there will be 2 lines for the evo the evolutiona nd the ralliart evolution. the ralliart will be acd ayc and 300 plus horsepower the evo8 will stay the same the exact way they are.

 

we did not get to see the 04 evo just that they are going to have 2 lines. they are mostly focusing on the galant and awd diamante for 2004. they are focused a lot on the lancer ralliart

if this is true I'd like to know the release date of the )4's and the pricing..

 

release dates on the evos are estimated around spring for the evo 8 again and ralliart 2 months after that. so u would figure around same price for the evo 8 maybe a little more. i would figure 30,000 again. the ralliart if i was to make a guess since they arent realsing them i would figure 35,000. they want to wait til subaru says what the sti is supposed to be becasue they are tired of hearing the sti is faster out of the gate. well guess what since the evo whomps on the sti over seas they are going to do it here also. i would figure a 2.5 liter for the ralliart and 340 horse like i said this is an estimated guess. when i know more i will defnitaly be posting it.
