Don't you guys think its kinda late in the year not to hear something from mitsubishi? I mean there are 2004 cars on the road for god sake. I highly doubt they will increase the price of the car at all cause they are having a hard time selling them as it is. Its a pretty niched market for a 30K road/rally car let alone a 34k one. Look at the STI's, they came out at 32 now they are around 30 or less, they just aren't moving as fast as first thought. For 34k people are starting to look for some luxery like the G35 coupe or even 350Z with leather interior not cloth seats and cheap plastic interior. I even heard of an G35 coupe AWD coming out soon that will be the US skyline (sorta) and I feel if people are gonna use 34+ their gonna be stepping into that or an Audi.
My salesman told me that he hasn't received any memos or anything regarding next years Evo model. He also said that bring the Evo over was a joint venture between Mistubishi and Universal studios for promotion purposes only (2F2F). Lastly he said if they are gonna bring the Evo back it'll probably be the GT-A version because some think the present Evo is to harsh for most US buyers that can afford a 30k car. Yes the Neon will share a chassis platform with a mitsu car but that is the platform that will be used for the US Lancer not the Lancer Evolution. And yes there will be an Evo IX, as will there be a X, and so on... I don't forsee them stopping the production on this car anytime in the near future. So in short, no the VIII wont be the only true evo platform, yes there will be a IX, that is not the IX, and it's been a while since I've posted. Peace

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's just EVO VIII pictures then a prediction. And then the lower one is definately the 2f2f EVO VII.
I don't think there's anything solid in there about the IX just rumors and predictions but that's JMO.

Just read on of my car mags. forgot the title I think I was motor trend, but there have been some rumors that there is going to be a lighter EVO coming out next year. Kinda like the BMW CSL. Does anyone got any info on this topic
