One can wish, eh? What does the VI RS weight in at? a lightweight RS version would be interesting for nothing but competition fun.

 

My evo 8 weight 3220 with me out the car. So what times have youll gotten at the track if anyone has been?

 

Kind of thread jacking here, but ~1:30s at Motorsport Ranch - No times from Texas Motorspeedway though.. Your in TX, down by where the High Speed Shootout is going on this month... Are you going to find out what the real top speed on your evo is?

 

well first of all what 1.30s in tx my time was 13.3 at 103, and well im going to try to see what my top speed is, so whats yours?

 

1 minute 30 seconds at the track.. I now presume you meant strip. as in shifty shifty dragging. It'll be good to see some Evo's at the Top Speed SHootout, I wonder how many people will break 200mph.

Someone clarify about the 2 EVOs 2004 from Las Vegas dealer thing
1. plain version? - is this just like ours without change
2. other version (ralliart?) will it have extra horses/6sp/cruise?

I hope they do release a 2004 evo with 330hp and a 6 speed, then all of you unsatisfied 03 owners will run out and buy them. And I shall reap the benefits!! bwahaha!!

 

so do those of us holding out.. though I still am just amazed that I've seen no mention from mitsu of the biggest and easiest oversight to correct. cruise control.. sequnetial manual transmission would be the next foollowedby a 6 speed. Extra power is just too easy to get aftermarket, it's not worth getting it from the factory. proper ECU controlled cruise and a SMT with an additional cog is the kind of thing that aftermarket it gets way to expensive to worry about doing.. Mitsu can't be that blind to be unaware of how many tuners out there have been making big power with the 4g63 for so many years. they need to give us what we can't get already..

The tech working on my car indicated he got back from training this past weekend and that the only changes indicated besides the exterior were a 6 speed and a system to change the torque level range from from to rear but he did not say if it was a complete yaw control system.
