my dealer gave me the paperwork for the 100000 mile warr... when I was buying it so maybe you need to go backl to your dealer and talk to them... I also discussed this when they changed out my transfer case last month and they told me I had this warr... so go talk to your dealer it is worth the shot

Is Mitsu trying to make good on warranty issues and help the perception of quality with their brand? If they are going to offer this to those who purchased after May 1, 2003. That sounds like a good move to help Mitsu's credibility and image.

It sounds like they sold you an extended warranty with out you realizing it.

Maybe this is the case here.
Either way, it sounds like he made out if he already had Tcase work done and they covered it.
im pretty sure the evo is upposed to come with the 5year,50000 mile warrenty and other mitsus get trhe 7 year. If u have 10 yr then u BOUGHT IT. The exluded the evo because they know exactly what kind of car it is and exactly how people will drive it. The disclaimer is unlear as it does not say excludes evo at the end, but it still does say exludes it. Also if u have ever heard any mitsu commercials on the readio u would hear at the end of all the warrenty babble it says "Excludes lancer evolution."
Looks like it went to a dealership in Puerto Rico?
Only 04 models have that, but 04 models bought in 03 are retroactively covered. So the MR should also have a 10/100k warranty. if they'd just throw in *all* mainteneance for 4/48k, they'd be pulling a lot of focus from the other camps that do this.. audi/bmw/infiniti/lexus.
I called a local Mitsu dealer and he said that the 04's were supposed to be out in a few months but since there are still many 03's left at dealers, Mitsu has pushed the 04's release back to Oct. Wouldnt it make more sense to just skip 04 and make them 05's?. Also, according to the new Speed magazine, there should be 6500 Evos made for 04. Speaking about the Evo, the article says "But even with it's low-key nature, Mitsubishi is on pace to sell nearly all of the 6500 examples it can build this year". This works great for me since I won't have a down payment for one till Sept/Oct, so I will either get an 04 or a hell of a deal on an 03 they are trying to get rid of
Changes in the '05 Evo?
Hey guys,
I was browsing some of the threads and noticed that in the upcoming release of the '05 Evo, it is going to have leather Recaros rather than cloth. I was also wondering what other differences it was going to have compared to the currently released '04 model. I am rather disappointed with the leather upgrade, I prefer cloth, oh well.
TIA,
Chris

Actually that's going to be the 04 (yeah, it's kinda messed up, an 04' coming out so late in 2004) evo that will be released with the leather option; also a subwoofer option will be available. The last thing I know that is happening is that the CF wing will come as standard on the car. The cloth recaros are staying, leather will cost a crap load of you opt for it.

Oh great! So the leather is not going to be a standard option? Thank God! Anything else besides that, the upgraded stereo, and the wing being standard? I just want to find all this out so I can decide whether to try for an 04 or wait and deal on an 03...
