Hahahaha wait, let me get this straight - the 2004 model year Evo will be coming out when most companies are bringing out 2005 model year products? Great, even further behind than the '03s are.

If you buy one you better be sure you plan to keep it a long time or you will lose your *** HARD on trade-in.

Headlights and Taillights are the same style and shape and its still a CT9A-XXXXXX chassis type here so not a full Model change

Started to Ebay the Taillights which are a plug-n-play replacement and have the Headlights arriving shortly....

Alright, I've searched on the site. I've done research else where. Someone has to know when the hell the 04 evos are supposed to be out. In every other thread like this everyone beats around the question and never answers it. I read one that says the 04s will be out around the end of april/ beginning of may. Does this sound right to everyone? I have to decide on a car in the next two months and if the 04 evo comes out i'll wait and see what that is like (Yes I realize it is just a sound and seat "upgrade", but i still want to take a look at it.) It is down to 3 cars (the evo, the sti and the g35). I don't need anyone to tell me what they think, b/c the answer is going to be biased. But please if anyone knows when the 04 models are coming out please tell me!

As far as I know the 04 cars will be at dealers in mid May. The dealer placed the order for my 04 RS on March 4, the RS is coming out of their May delivery allocation of Evo's. Sombody correct me if I am wrong.

 

Please create descriptive thread titles when writing a new thread topic. Calling it "alright when the hell?" does not allude at all to the fact that you want to know dealership delivery dates for the 04 Evo.

 

Sorry, is there a way to tag dealer delivery dates under it at this point?

We get our RS's @ the end of March according to what I was told.
This is @ Serramonte Mitsubishi in Daly City, CA.

 

When the dealer ordered mine there was no Urban Package available as an option. Price was still TBA, also. When did you guys order your RS's?

 

Is it possible that Mitsu will skip the 2004 Evo and go straight to the 2005 Evo?
It's already 3 months into 2004 and still no sign of the 2004 Evo.

 

It has just been a few weeks since we got our first '04 Monteros, Montero Sports and Diamantes. Mitsubishi held up production and delivery because of old the '03's still sitting around. They promise from now on only to build what we can sell based on previous rates. So I predict this years allotment of Evos will be a lot slimmer. A lot of rural dealers won't even order any, and the big cities will only get what they need. IMO, there won't be such a surplus where potential buyers can pick and choose colors/options and have the leverage they had last year.

According to the dealer that i talked to in NY, and he could be blowin smoke up my ***, although he sounded knowledgeable, that the 2004's will come out this spring, RS, etc, and then the '05 will come out around January.

He said that he is on some commitee about the Evo, who knows if thats true. so i asked him about the IX etc. he said the '05 will have a 6speed, maybe more hp (281 im guessing), but he wasnt sure if it would be a Evo IX, and if it would take on the new Lancer Ralliart lights (he said that they are stressing to Mitsu to keep it as different from the Lancer as possible)

i hope some of this helps, sorry if its been covered, i couldnt read thru all those pages lol. Mega merges, while a good idea, have there draw backs since its hard to read allll those pages on rumors.
