Here's an interesting article which discusses the options available for the 04 EVO and RS. It includes the "Urban Jungle" package that Shiv brought up and mentions leather Recaros for the EVO.

Well the RS Urban Jungle is almost getting there. The Lancer Evo needs a Ultimate Package offering the rear stiffening and front LSD to the current HID and wing equipped Evo. And if they could only think a little bit harder and offer a few more profit making and customer satisfying options... cruise. 6spd, SMT, under body panels.. The car would have everything the *super ultra* exotics have, minus 6-8 cylinders. I'd gladly give em my money for everything a $60k - $150k car has for $35k.

Cool. Thanks for the link.

Is this a typo? --> Yokohama ADVAN(TM) 215/50R17

Also where are they getting the 3,321-lb figure from?

What is the second FOG for the RS?

Ok, so we understand the urban jungle package...

What is the second option package GPTourer was referring to?

And most importantly, what is MSRP for all this sacrifice?

Yeah, I read that about the tires which hurt the credibility a little. No word, that I've seen, that tell you how much the packages are. As for the RS MSRP = 26K

I've heard the radio is optional. So maybe there's a convenience package that includes the radio and maybe A/C.

GP Tourer, do you mean on the RS? It's the urban jungle package. The UJ package is an in between the RS and current (GSR?) setup. the front LSD and rear stiffening, but no HIDs or big wing, and I assume no sunroof either, but that may be an independent option on RS, UJ, and GSR.

How freaking boring...I was hoping the GSR would have gotten something cool. Leather Recaro's? Now that is just gay!

i think we'll have to wait 2 more months for the LA and Detroit Auto shows, where hopefully will give us some love and talk about any possible changes for the 04 (05 model year) LanEvo.

I'm praying for this (note: pure speculation):
either the FQ300 or MR or RS or what not renamed a LanEvo Ralliart edition (kinda like the STi) with you know....320bhp/300lbft-torque. don't really care for power windows or interior changes (maybe change those godawful gauges) or such, hopefully it'll have ACD and SAYC, and a little ralliart badge on the trunk. I'd imagine this would bump it to the mid-high $30k, low 40's range. This would be the one-up-manship I'm praying for. (take that, subaru!)

So this maybe means 2 trims: the standard LanEvo, and the LanEvo Ralliart. I'm also praying that they have the ACD and SAYC as optional parts.

Mitsubishi would then mirror their subaru counterpart in their "flagship" vehicle trims, well...almost
2.5 RS - Lancer Ralliart (sportback)
WRX - Lancer Evolution (this comparison is not fair, i know)
WRX STi - Lancer Evolution Ralliart

I also read somewhere that come January 2004, will launch their Ralliart store in the US (like the up-and-coming NISMO and already present TRD), as to not **** off any evo owners if they do the aforementioned changes. Plus, it'd be damn nice to buy parts that don't void your warranty from a badass division that's proven their engineering prowess on the rallies for over 10 years.

all of you have no reason to believe me, just my wistful 3 cents. yes...3...

omg pretty pretty please omfg mitsu do this listen to me i love you evo OWNS!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Very wistful. Nothing is changing on the current Evo. No word on Ralliart either. If they haven't told us ANYTHING about it yet, then it means it is still many months away. But then again, I am down in here in Prehistoric Alabama, we're among the last to get **** anyway. Maybe a Cali dealer can chime in.

I am not familiar with those names. Is UJ an overseas term, or have they been using it to describe the upcoming RS Evo?

As far as I know the RS will have all the power features deleted including the rear wiper, HID's and rear wing. No air, no radio, less sound deadening and definitely no sunroof available. But with an LSD. The two templates would refer to this setup plus an options group that might include a radio, and maybe A/C. The LSD will most likely not be available on the current Evo.

Look over ..

http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2...04/172198.html

Urban Jungle appears to be an "option" or "package" for the RS.

Okay, then yes. I would make an educated guess that the second template is this UJ package.

Hopefully it will be 3 "lines" with 2 options of sunroof and big or small wing on each.

RS, UJ (Urban Jungle), Evo VIII (?GSR). Each with with the option to add sunroof, and wing (big or small).

It's good to see options here. maybe the front LSD or HIDs will make it as an option as well. Since an RS with the Urban Jungle package and if it coudl get HIDS is basically two options more equipped than the current VIII (GSR). It adds the front LSD and rear stiffening bolt in bar.

Bring on the options Mitsu. Leather Seats and Radio are a good start to options! Keep em coming!
