as I have said before.. I wish I had never modified my car. It was fine with some simple mods and tuning, and the further I went, the less I drove it every day. Even though its still reliable and drivable, I would rather it be stock again.
FWIW I have nearly 50k on the STOCK CLUTCH, the car is making over 500whp on a fairly conservative tune (280 hks cams, GT35r turbo, bunch of other parts, STOCK ECU) The car has run numerous low 11 second passes driving the car easy (This was before the cams and 35r turbo)
Its all about driving style and understanding what kind of damage you can do with launch technique...

Actually the UTEC has been a logging device for quite some time, but its actually no longer in the car. Turns out the UTEC's Ignition trigger signal is NOT like stock, its enough to properly trigger the stock coils (and the DLI2 as it only boosts the primary voltage) but it won't trigger many aftermarket ignition boxes used with COP setups (The AEM C2DI did work with it though).. But the Sparktech setup uses a well known ignition amplifier that isn't propery triggered by the UTEC. I'm now running an ECU+ for touch up tuning and logging. I couldn't possibly list all the modifications on my car in one quick post.

yeah dont buy a heavily modded Evo unless it was done by Buschur or AMS or something. But as far as ACT clutches go, I have had 2 Evos both with the same ACT clutch and never had any problems

My regret thus far is the UK chrome trunk badge. That thing was so flimsy that I had to be careful when I was washing my trunk as not to pull any of the edges of the letters down. I have since taken it off and gone with a more stealth look.

I only have one; buying an Evodave CF trunk. The fit was hardly perfect, and after I traded it, the new owner saw the CF yellowing. Mind you, the trunk was only 4 months old.
I did my research; so much for that. I have a strong feeling that most of the recommendations were posted by folks who've never actually seen one.
