It's almost like trying to get a hold of that Bryan guy which used to work for GST.

In all seriousness, I wish I would have waited to turn up the power in my car until after I had reached the limit of it in stock form.

I remember something about the stock rear diff bushings causing this and fixable by replacing with aftermarket ones

Booming/ Banging noise is when shifting fast from gear to gear--the boom is coming from the diff as stated above. I thought this was solved by clutch stop, correct?

You're talking about the mustache bar clunking when shifting under load.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/dr...-opinions.html

You can stop that noise with a mustache bar eliminator:

or by upgrading the OEM rear diff and mustache bar bushings with polyurethane.

Biggest regrets to date on my '03 are:

1. Going with a GT3071R turbo as my initial turbo upgrade
2. Going with a XEDE piggyback instead of just biting the bullet and going straight to standalone.

I hate mine as well, but it came with the car. When I got the car the allen bolts were stripped, so it made it that much harder to take it apart

The previous owner also bought a greddy uicp for the car, and it is terrible. its too big, rubs against both the battery and radiator hose. Plus I have blown the pipe off twice, and it took me almost an hour to finally get all the couplers to quit leaking during a boost leak test w/ new clamps.

If your getting a clunk from your rear diff, upgrade the mounts. If you upgrade, or use the mustache bar eliminator, could be a u joint in the drive shaft.
