bought my mildly modded 03 in 07 wit 32K miles on her. I'm the second owner and planning on keeping her forever even with the constant subliminal messages to get rid of her from the wife on the side

i don't post much since becoming a member here in 05, mostly i read and just read
im into this fantastic, super handling, super fast EVO for over four years now, before the EVO i went thru cars every 6-12 months, i guess non of them were are fun as the EVO.
Two more years and im gonna turn the BIG 40.
im saying to myself that no other car can replace my EVO in fun, so im gonna just keep her forever.

I am I just bought a 06 ix that needed nothing but found cylinder 3 at 50% requiring a piston rebuild so I decided to stroke it and then found that the clutch needs to be rebuilt carbonetics triple disc, the turbo , header, injectors, tune, 2 tires, and alignment. I m currently at 8k and counting plus the overpaid price of 25k, so I'm keeping mine forever shouldn't have sold my perfectly good 2003 for an 06 ix MR that needs nothing, never been raced, lol.
Im thinking it wont last that long...This is not the most reliable car to own. High performance and longevity dont go together. I hope ill mod the **** out of my evo and make it a track/weekend warrior..but then after all that when I want to sell? how much would it be worth in 5-20 years?? I know they will be collector material...but idk
Looks like im going to keep this for awhile I don't know about forever as I do have a trend of selling the car to get a different. I have to say this is one of the best cars I've owned tho.

If gas becomes $10/gal, they won't be making Evo's or anything of its class ever again. At that point, it's either a collectible or time to get a hobby growing flowers. I'm gonna stay a gear-head/motor-head til I die. Life choice.
