wheres the 35r crowd at?
I know I didn't read completely through this thread, but to answer the title of the thread...they were all changed out for FP greens, Reds, and Blacks (unless you have the HTA treatment). I was one of those guys that went from a 35r to a stock frame, although the 35r was on my Talon.
Low 9s on a full weight evo.. There have been DSMs though in the 8s with the 35r.
More realistic results will be 10s for most people.. The differences between the FP Black and 35r isnt very big in horsepower or 1/4mile times but the 35r is still the better turbo.. I mean it's kind of amazing that this can even be argued. And if youre trying to compare FP Red/Green to a 35r LAWL! On low boost levels a 35r can make more than those turbos.
Oh and for $600 u can convert to an HTA86.. Theres really no need to go any bigger unless your just after horsepower numbers or something..
But really, i suppose neither the Fp Black or 35r are better than one another.. Its just what do you want out of your car. But remember, the problem with stock frame turbos and stroker motors is how much extra strain all that torque puts on your drivetrain.. Larger frame turbos build boost and torque so smoothly and so high in the rpms that you really dont have to worry about drivetrain parts unless you're launching it all the time with a high 2-step.
