I posted on post 177 that I cracked it. I reread what I posted and it reads like I tightened it snug then did 2 to 3 more full revolutions of tightening it down. That's not what I did. I may have tightened it 3/4 of a turn in 1/4 turn increments after I snugged it down.

It cracked right at the casting mark. I showed it to FB and they offered me a discounted BNIB, but weren't interested in an exchange. Fair enough. I decided that I will weld on a 3" ID aluminum tube with a thicker wall with a lip.

I agree on TB and all IC piping is to use hairspray on the pipe to coupler contact like you recommend.

I've tightened my stock TB much tighter than I did this TB, but I learned a lesson. As detroit pistins pointed out it may have been too small a T-Bolt. IDK as I've never had this problem before with any T-Bolt.

Yes the ultimate setup would be running something like a wiggins clamp just from the TB and UICP or http://vibrantperformance.com/catalo...1022_1250_1306
and there wouldn't be a issue

I looked into the Wiggins. It does have some $ex appeal Although for the price, one could buy another TB.

I guess you're misunderstanding my question. Yes, we all know that other peoples Full Blown 70mm Throttle bodies have cracked, as 10isace's did.
here's his vid:

While poorly worded the question I was asking you was ...

are any other manufacturer's throttle bodies cracking, yes or no?

I don't mind really swapping a clamp was like 10 mins. I'd still run the t bolt if I didn't drop the nut lol

Need help!!!!
Just finish install my FB 70mm tb on my evo 8.
Got it tune yesterday and the car wont idle properly. Keep on jumping up and down from 1800rpm to 1100rpm. I couldnt let it stay under 1000rpm because it will die out. Any on one dyno run, the tb got stuck on 4000rpm.
I read another thread on here and several people have the same problems. I bought this brand new from another evom member. So i know there is brand new without any scratches.
Faulty built?????
Thats whati been hearing from people.

Fix it or refund and i sent back the whole unit?!?!?!?!

This is my Full Blown 70mm throttle body crushed when I used an oversized (3", 79mm/87mm) t-bolt clamp.

Don't be an idiot like me. Check your sizes.

I guess you use t-bolt clamps? Don't use t-bolt clamps, you now know why, T-bolt clamps sucks.

T-bolt clamps "suck"? No. But they do require precise sizing.
