Mobius which Seattle dealers have you been dealing with? I have contacted about 20 dealers all around, Wash and Ore,,most of them are dreamers, I love the car, but when you ask how much they are asking for it, and they answer how much you willing to spend,, thats not right.

Of course the $5,999 isn't markup, it's for accessories and the service (which as I said, includes more than the Pit Pass does). Also, that's not on all of the cars. We have one on the ground now that has no extra's which can be yours today at MSRP. We have 5 due in the next 30 days that you can get with or without accessories as you please, though of course given our situation we prefer with.

ALL of the Mitsubishi dealers in this district were sent thousands of dollars worth of Evo accessories they didn't order and naturally, are looking to get those accessories out of the inventory. Kline I know for a fact will try to do the exact same thing. They have more accessories than they are getting cars to put them on.
I got mine for a little under MSRP and they gave me a fair trade in for my WRX (of course, I wanted more but...) Anyway, they did not even mention the pit pass and they have zilch as far as accessories.... I would like to get some accessories for my EVO, particularly if I can get them for a fair price (none of this inflated retail price bs) I would entertain getting the CD changer and the sport gauge package, among other things....
I'd advise against paying any premiums over MSRP. I think the new car sales are really slow and it should be a buyers market. (I kind of wished I'd waited...)

I got mine 500 under MSRP although they did slip in wheel locks at the absurd price of $71. Oh well, it still seems I got a pretty good deal.

We do still have a mark-up on the Evolution, BUT we will definitely entertain any offer that is made (YES ANY OFFER). If you’re a serious buyer with a serious offer, then we will be very serious with what we can do for you. Call us and ask for the Fleet / Internet Department Rudy or Travis at 909-735-7100. You just might be surprised. Please mention that you read this on Evolutionm.net. Looking forward to receiving your calls.

I have talked to Korum, told him I could get one at Ray Reece in oregon for 3k over msrp, Victor at Korum told me to get it, its a steal. So I went on Ebay and got one at Mentor at MSRP +shipping, got tired of all the bull**** around Wash and Ore.

I just want to let peeps who are planing to buy a EVO in Minneosta Know the truth. only a buyer can tell other buyer the truth.

You , . Why don't you stop by and say hello next time your in the store. I'll show you who the liar is.

Answer me this; at a time when many people are paying thousands over MSRP for just the standard car, do you think its such a bad deal to actually get some extra content for your extra dough?

When you came to Metro and they told you the cars had extra equipment on them (which you claim you didn't want but later admit tried to buy a bunch of it anyway) did you even try to make an offer on a later car with no extra's? Did you even try make an offer on one of the in-stock cars that had extra's? Probably not, right? Why not? If you don't feel the extra content is worth the extra cost, why not make an offer that reflects what you feel that extra content is worth? Or are you too much of a chicken to make a simple offer on a car?

thuan: Watch it. No need to call someone a liar. That's bordering on a personal attack.

Mark F: no need to retaliate. Edited your post to remove the direct insults.

This is a heated topic, let's keep this thread clean... or posts will be cleaned for you.

I just got back from CARMAX in Kennesaw GA. They have a beautiful red EVO w/sunrooof.... $30750....
They have a yellow one coming soon w/ sunroof. Prolly will sell for the same price......

I kind of wished I'd waited for the yellow with sunroof.... But I'm very happy with my silver EVO, besides, it does not call so much attention to itself... Already got 2 tickets with my yellow WRX

Man, if you have CARMAX around, they'll probably trade with you. At the very least they'll buy yoiur car outright and then you can buy the EVO. I'd suggest calling them (the Carmax near you) and ask them if they can trade with you... Even if you had to pay and extra $300 or $500 for transport, you'll still save a lot!!
