Talking OH YEAH! Gettin' mine tomorrow!

An Apex Silver beauty will become mine tomorrow. Said car will be purchased from Yark in Toledo for only a $1500 markup (I know, not MSRP, but it was the best Uncle Dave could do). I even got to test drive it. The Mitsu salesman weren't going to let me, but Yark himself okay'ed it. WOW! Facking awesome. You guys were right about that steering, it's killer. And the power after turbo spool-up was exciting. I didn't rev over 5k, I just wanted to hear boost. I am the happiest 23 year-old kid right now. I won't be able to sleep tonight.

On a side note, I met a man named Scott from the area this weekend with his brand new black STI. It was fairly impressive. Hopefully after break-in, I find him again and we can hang out and pull AWD holeshots on each other

Oh yeah, and if any of you guys need motorcycle, jet-ski, or snowmobile parts, let me know! I work at a motorcycle dealership. I could sure use the commission to help me pay for my new toy

Lata!

Welcome to the wonderful world of EVO POWER! $1500 mark-up isn't bad ... I'm betting that the evo's will retain their mark-up now that the sti is out with an even bigger mark-up, and the 2F2F movie is out.

My dad made a bad joke. He told me that 5 minutes after i left the dealership to go back to work, some guy came in and made a higher bid on it. You can imagine how I felt before he let on that he was joking.

Note to self...co-signing parents have the ability to mess with your emotions at any time....

Congrats on your car but your uncle couldn't sell you for MSRP or less That's pretty bogue. Is that what the sales manager force him to do? Anyways, it's not yours till you drive off the lot but I remember a dealer in E. Lansing off 96 past US 127 had a yellow evo for MSRP. You should call unless you perfer silver.

Oh yeah here's a link.

I usually call everywhere and the drive will be worth it. You should call Chicago too.

Good luck.

Yeah my uncle has pull, but the owner himself was only willing to drop 1k off the markup. Funny you should mention Spartan, i was up in that area for a wedding a couple weekends ago and i happened to see their sign. I wondered if they would have any Evos. I'm not too keen on the yellow, and I'd rather just buy it from my uncle, keep good relations ya know? I don't mind the extra price, it's a payoff for convienience. After all, we have bought 12 cars from him in the last 20-something years.

i cant believe you guys put a dealership on a boycott list. you dont have to buy it there. these are limited production. i waited 3 years to be able to sell an evo. in reason of course, there should be a mark up!

Well, believe it!!! You are right, we don't have to buy it....THERE! Just because you waited 3 years to sell an evo doesn't justify that it should be marked up. So, I waited 3 years to buy an evo so I should have a discount!?!!

Dude $1500 over MSRP, do you realise how many desperate salesman they are that are willing to sell an evo at MSRP or less?

thats like saying "Here have an extra $1500! THAT YOU DIDNT EARN!"

They make an EXTRODINARY PROFIT selling at MSRP, There probably making at least $5000 off of you.

Im telling you pull out of the sale while you still can, you might have to travel but hey it may save you an extra $1500.

Boch Mitsubishi in MA was willing to deal me a Evo for $1000 under MSRP.

Hey Catchme is right, your uncle should atleast sell it for MSRP,
BTW if your willing to come down to OHIO, I am selling my Silver Evo, (with sunroof/tints) see my add in the classifieds on here, have to let her go with only 700 miles on it for only $30,300
IMO Silver is the best color!
