yeah Willie, i heard the same thing. however, my car is always locked inside the garage and i also know of a few EVO's that were broken into so i guess both cars sucks at that.

Yo Will you are so right! The other day I was chillin with my friend on the South Conduit next to Springfield with his Sti. while we were driving I pulled into the Burger King on Rockaway Blvd. I swear to you Seems like an entire preceint came down on me. My friend broke out. They started asking me questions about my car and the ask me who was my firend. I just told them I called him Sti and they said thats right they have reports of those cars being Stolen left and right. I aslo remebered seeing a stripped ond and telling Yellowfever about it.

 

Those guys need to loosten up its not the end of the world. I like messing with them though. Please Like Al I am not that crazy. I know that the Evo is not the fastest car in the world.

Silver ghost if thats what you wanna do... do it.. it took me almost 2 months to make my decision and i do not regret it but when my wifes WRX is paid off i might get her a STI so i can have both.

Both cars are off the meter... no matter how you look at it. they both get street repect and are the most talked about cars since they have hit the market. Good luck with you decision Silver ghost im sure you won't regret it.

 

I love both of these cars. I had a WRX before and had planned on an STI when they came out...but in the end I was swayed by the extensive R&D and ease of maintenance on the EVO. If I did get an STI I think I would just follow the Vishnu stages and play it safe...scooby motors aren't cheap!

I have already traded my STI for an EVO.

I have no regrets. The STI is a better daily driver, but if you want the pure driving machine, get the EVO.

I don't know why, but my insurance dropped $20/month when I got the EVO. Who would have thought?

So far at the shop here we have a had three customers who have owned Sti's visit the shop....after talking to them about what we have done with the Evo 8 they ALL have turned right around and sold them for an evo. I now see all three customers regularly. Stop by AMS and ask for Eric.

Hey blonde...Why dont you try to get lighter springs? I think that is a better choice than trading in your evo. You'll lose alot more money that way. As for me, I think both cars are freakin nice. I love my evo and was thinking about trading it in for an STI, but when I start to mod it, the evo just take me back to her arms again. hehehhe... Got dynoflahs? Hell yea, best mod ever. As for the looks, I think the evo will eventually win. Why? With every major tuner and performance shops in japan modding evo, eventually EVO owners will have plenty of body kits and make over to make the EVO bimp!!!

As for 400whp, it's very possible with the EVO now. There are so far 3 aftermarkets, American made turbo upgrade that are under 3K. With 6K, you can have a 400whp+ evo with a complete standalone. Can I say whoooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, without the stalling and idling problem??? hahahha, I'm all about the whoooossss yall. Peace...............

no they wouldn't. we have had many vendors like Dan from mach V and garrett from world one etc... saying that they like the EVO better. also, as far as i know, all the subie guys that i have met and hang out with love the EVO and give it a lot of respect. only here we have this problem.
