I bought my insurance from 21st in Dec 2003. Your increase in premium could be for your additional $50K aftermarket coverage maybe?

If the Evo is in their system or not, my point is that as long as your VIN is right, they cannot have a fraud case against you. Its not like I lied to them that I had a Lancer, I told them Evo, and I called the rep to make sure of it!

When I got my evo, it wasn't in their database so they just quoted me for a 30,000 four door sedan. My card does say evolution.

Not sure if they got the insurance right, originally I was quoted $171/month. Then when I brought the paperwork in (VIN#, etc.) it ended up being $112/month. If they screwed up, it's not my problem I have GAP, the credit union can fight with the insurance company.

26 years old, single.
$672 for six months.
$250(comp)/$500(coll)

I pay $83 a month with State Farm for $250 (comp), $500 (coll), unisured motorist, towing, etc. I am 30 and have good driver discount and a multiple lines discount. It is only a $6 more a month then my wifes 02 Jetta 1.8T Wagon.

STi is fast and looks okay, but the EVO looks nicer with the bulging front fenders and smooth front facia. Not only that, it's more rooted into rally, as it is still a 2 liter, where as the STi is 2.5. Cheaters lol. And like mentioned before, evo will be heavily modable.

A lot of what you pay for insurance has to do with where you live. So, unless you take that into account, its hard to be objective when comparing what you pay to what others pay. I, for example, pay out the *** for insurance because of 65 year old troglodytes with macular degeneration running red lights all over Tucson for 6 mos of the year.

Strokers lower the possible RPM limit of the 2.0L $g63 engine right? I want mine to redline at 9000RPMs!

I am selling my car this week. BUT it does not detinate, it does make more power than most modded sti's out there. the thing is, that I had to replace the turbo and injectors etc to get to 306whp. an EVO just requires a few bolts ons to get there. the 4g63 motor is just a piece of mind. its proven. No guessing with it. Let someone else break all the sti motors til they figure it out. the sti seats are a little more stiff. although i will miss the suede....but maybe i'll recover the evo seats. sti interior Owns evolutions interior. allthough the seats are tighter in the evo. but not height adjustable!? (drivers side) does anyone have a problem with wearing a helmet in the car if they have a sunroof? considering racing this car, and wondering if i should get the sunroof or not (sorry for the OT)
Welcome to the club...i know i may be taking a slight hit but in the long run i feel like its a better investment for what i plan to do with the Evo.
