I live in Canada, Here we have a lot of van park beside the street with tint windows, and carry speed camera!
I never stopped by police but i hate this movement camera lol
So what should i get?
Does v1 solve my problem?!
Is it illegal to have it in Canada? How about shipping to my door? or should i go to state and buy 1?

Which province are you in. Different provinces have different legislation with regards to radar detectors.

If you google your province name and 'radar detector legal' you should get your answer.

I don't think speed vans use radar, do they? They work the same as red light cameras, so if they use radar, your detector would go off every time you come near a red light/speed camera, which they don't. Correct?

Not sure how it is in Canada; but in Phoenix, we have the vans, red-light cameras, and speed-cameras.

The vans use radar, so you get plenty of warning about those.

The speed cameras use sensors in the pavement. It measures how quickly your vehicle is traveling, and will snap a picture if you're over a set speed. Obviously no warning for that, so you have to memorize where they are and keep your eyes scanning the shoulder.

I think the red-light cameras only go off if your rear wheels aren't past a red line painted in the intersection before the light changes. Simple solution is don't run red lights.

Yes, this is all correct. The vans any KMart special detector can pick up, nothing hidden about those - not to mention they put big signs up warning you ahead of time usually.

As for red-light and the other fixed position cameras, having a device with GPS in it helps a lot instead of memorizing.

Yes you right! They use same system as traffic lights!
So does v1 will detect them?!

if you all don't want it in your window why put it there? I always put mine under the sun visor and I don't use the sun visor. It's tucked up there, still gets signals, theifs usually don't see it through your tinted side windows, you don't have to screw with all of that suction pad crap.

I always take mine down after each use. I believe the direct sunlight and summer heat kills them after a year or two if you don't.

Of course they do. Radar detectors detect radar, not police vehicles. It would pick up a cop riding a segway or big wheel, provided he's using his radar gun on traffic around you.
