Just call your local dealer an have them give southcoast a call and get the tsb from them. It's stupid that all the dealers don't have this information yet, but since it's not a recall and it's just a tsb perhaps they haven't noticed it yet. Have them simply order the reflash software/hardware for uploading, and then you'll e all set. There's no need to drive 8 hours to have this done. It doesn't even apply to all X's, just the first batch that were shipped out here. Have them check your vin code and see if your car already has the updated flash version from the manufacturer. There's a good chance that if your X doesn't have any idling issues that you are already on the latest version and dont need it. Good luck guys.
EDIT: THAT GUY ABOVE ME POSTED WHILE I WAS TYPING THIS. THANKS FOR THE DETAILED INFO DR EVOL!

I just went down to SCM and had my car reflashed. My car wasnt from the first batch but it was still covered under the TSB.

So...we can do the drop-in filter thing without the engine going crazy?

I just called my dealership in VA on the East Coast and gave them the TSB# and they informed me that the dealership just recieved the new software and it is ready for downloading! Taking my car in Tuesday!

He said most Mitsubishi dealers just recieved the update and memo yesterday, but they are ready now.

I just called my dealer here in SW Va and they hadn't heard anything. My Evo is build date Nov 07, so does this even affect me?

Read back in this thread to get the TSB#, check your VIN# to see if its before the affected EVO's and call your dealership and give them the TSB#. My dealer just got the software yesterday, and told me to come in and get it downloaded.

OK I am alittle confused, will this reflash help the high RPM engine stutter that we all have been having or just the idle??

What do people do if they bought their Evo X from South Coast Mitsu but had it shipped across the country to where they are? Would any dealer closest to where I live be sufficient? (Clearly these dealers are not all created equal)

I don't think you guys even have the same set of Vin# up there anyways.
I'm sure you guys will have your own version of this flash. Like I said in a older
thread about erratic idling. This April reflash we knew about it since the 2nd week of the car being release here in the USA. It took so long because it alter the emission of the car ( was told by Mitsu Tec).
So this had to go through Government approval of some sort. Canada has there own regulation so more then likely the reflash might not be the same. This same reflash happen in Japan over a month ago, Im sure it does not take over a month just to ship a disk from Japan. So every Country will have their own Ver. of this ReflashI'm sure.

Im sure those people would be fine. Im sure every single Mitsu dealership will
get their Reflash tools for the EVO-X soon, Its not like all the dealership got their
EVO-X deliver on the same day. Plus Many people including myself has been
driving the car around for like 3 month and our car hasn't blown up yet. I dont see why people would want to waste gas money to drive 100s of mile to get this reflash
when your local dealership will get this reflash if not this week then maybe next week.
