But I am also seeing rich smoke coming out of the exhaust through all gears also. I told them as such and they said they would get back to me. It's kind of frustrating.
Looks like me and you are going to have to wait a bit for this.

If no one answered you question about what a TSB is it's a Technical Service Bulletin!

And that's exactly what the tech who got back this AM from his X class said. That it will go away after we put some miles on the car (I have like 50 miles on it) but I've read in other posts people with 2k+ still having it.

Anyway, didn't mean to partially ninja the point of the thread. Sorry.

I took them the TSB number and TT number, and they looked them up.
I talked to the young guy at Service.
I might call them up and drop my car off overnight, and get them to look into this.
I wanna feel all this new power

My dealer tried to flash the ecu, however the ecu flash tool they have said mine didn't require it when it was connected.

I'm confused, My VIN is included, they tried to flash, but the software told them it wasn't available....what???

I just picked up my car from the dealer. Like everyone else is saying the car does seem to idle better and it is deff smoother during wot. Didnt have any issues with the dealer, just told them I had a fluctuating idle and that the car has died out a couple of times when cold. They did the research and found the reflash.

You two shouldn't wait no matter what the stupid dealership say, Just go in and give them hell. or call the Mitsu 1-888# and tell them the stupid dealership you gone to refuse to fix the Idle and stalling issue you have.

When I 1st call my Dealership this morning, the 1st Service rep I talk to was giving me the same ****, Said they cant reflash my car unless my Car has the CEL and throw the code bull****. After 15min talking to him and nothing seem to go through his head, I repeated again, Told him I saw the TSB post on a forum, then he made the smart *** comment saying"you and you little friends don't know jack about repairing this car", I just hung up the freaking phone and drove right out to the dealership. Had the service Manager Print out the TSB. Manager read it, My car saleman read it, and one other service guy read it,and next thing you know, my car got the flash and out the door in about 15 mins.
My god I wasn't even born in the USA .My English isn't all that great. But I sure as hell can understand what this mean.

thank god my VIN is under the cutoff...this hungry pig dies off the line and idles funny AND stalls at 5k+. I'm sure I will get a bunch of bs and grief from Allison Mits in Reno 'cause I never bought the one they had for me....instead I went to SOUTH COAST and got a much better deal. I'm pretty sure they are fairly pissed off about that. Time to put on my game face

You know, now that you said that, mine has no power off the line under normal acceleration. Almost like it's bogging. I just assumed at first it was an Evo thing. Guess it's associated with this problem too eh?

I hope I get some cooperation since I hope to use them for service. They're the closest dealer.

After reading all these dealers not understanding the issue, I went to see my dealer's customer service manager. I explained the situation to her. I gave her the TSB and she called the service manager directly. I have an appointment on wedensday. I strongly recommend talking to someone of a higher stature in this matter. You will get much better results.

I just hope it continues to go smoothly.
